OH OH! I've hit the PoE endgame XP grind mountain and everything is boring
" Technically you can't min/max shit without having all your passive points so your argument is fundamentally flawed. 8 talent points is insane boost on a real min/maxer taking the passives correctly. What you want to say is not min/maxing far from that. All you are saying is "get better gears so your Lv92 can preform better". Same build, same gear, same player skill a Lv100 will always and forever be better than Lv92, so you did NOT min/max the Lv92... most you can do is making the naturally inferior lv92 little better than they are. The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

" Well, if someone considers lvl 92 their final level, then they have all their passive points by then... can't they have minmaxing fun with their chars, too? |

" That sounded so stupid I don't know what else to say. It's like someone think he already won a race, hence he can win the race without entering one. See how stupid that sound? But w/e makes you happy I guess if in your IMAGINARY little world PoE characters only has 92 levels you can imaginary min/max while the real minmaxers shrug at the whole idea of imaginary min/maxing. I think there should be more endgame options too.
I think they should revolve around killing mobs for items and xp though, for my tastes. Theres people who do grind into the 90s, who do find 30% movespeed boots, the game has to have that extra stuff you dont have the patience to grind for so that they can keep going till their limit too. If you reach your limit for grinding xp/items before that point then thats fine. The design is that bis gear and lvl100 are virtually impossible for 99.99% of players, this makes sure that the game keeps giving them something to grind for for as long as they have the desire to grind for it. Id like to see more variety in dungeon crawling outside of maps for proper endgame characters. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

I used to think the grind to 100 was stupid as well until i finally set out to teally do it. Now i have done it. I found a group of like minded people and we pooled our resources and went for it.
It is difficult for sure, but it is worth it for sure to remain challenging. I urge you to consider why after 3 years there are less than 700 chars at level 100. Because you cant buy your way through it. It takes real effort, coordination and skill to not die in high level maps with obscenely difficult map mods. Rolling to sustain a high level pool, maximize exp and not die is very difficult and truely a real challenge. Its exhausting tbh and i dont plan on ever doing it again. 90 is quite high enough and 95 is certainly a great stoping point. That said dont make it easier to grind to 100. There three hardest challenges in the game remain T15 maps, Uber Atziri, and getting to 100. Let them stay the way they are. The power level between 90 and 100 is sooo minimal anyways. " Thank you. I'll keep plugging away in the forums. I can always dream that maybe, just maybe one of my suggestions to improve QoP will stick to the wall and one of the GGG devs will take notice and say "Hey, that's a great idea. Why didn't I think of it? Let's make it so." Of course the reality is probably that "not invented here" thinking is just as pervasive within GGG as it is in many companies. Oh well, at least I'm trying to see if the core PoE devs are completely blind to outside suggestions for our beloved PoE. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. What happens when the donkey finally grasps the carrot?
Endgame is an illusion exile. |

" Tried to google, found this: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=min%2Fmax There's no definition that min/maxing is only relative to a game-state where you aquired all possible ressources to do so. If you have a more official definition of the term plz tell me so and i call it something else. There's people entering Marathon-races in the real world even if they can't be Nr.1 for obvious reasons, but setting their own goals and having fun while seeing how far they can push it. :) I don't mind you racing for best min/max-setup @ lvl 100 with like-minded people, if that's what you enjoy, good luck :D |

True, all who play PoE into higher endgame builds have to personally decide where that level limit is and just how much effort we are willing to devote to achieving that goal. For me, I set a Talisman goal of level 85 and I now have a level 86 Scion so I completed my goal for this temp League. Maybe for Perandus League I'll aim for 90. Haven't yet decided on the amount of time.
