I completely agree with your sentiment. There was a lot of discussion about this in the office at the time. I really do not want to dilute the value of the kiwis, so I can assure you that this will only happen in very discretionary circumstances. You'll notice he was given a Silver kiwi and not a higher tier one.

Also, it is worth noting that while he hasn't personally sent us money, he has put a substantial amount of time into promoting the game, which is definitely of value. That kind of Free PR is really invaluable for a tiny company that does not have the resources to trow and allot of marketing.

Im a little sad that some people are so mad / sad about PoE giving out keys or pets to people. It is not and will not be the last time. And this actually is a good thing.

The acts of kindness on this forum are also mostly random. Its not fair in a typical way. People get lucky. Others dont.
Still most people see how great this community is. It does not get worse just because they give away one or two keys / packs.

It is common to give bloggers / streamers access to as many aspects of a game as possible so they really can test it the way it is - and respond / report and "advertise".

It is not favourism. Sure, there are a lot people in "need" of a key. Even though we do our best to give away keys we have spare. Most people here will do their best to make everybody happy. That is the way i feel this community is.
Let us grow this commuinty bigger. This great cummunity. Kripperian is one of those that will help with it. If you like him or not. Dont me jealous. Dont be mad. BE happy about all those that come here with a good feeling over what GGG does. bout what we do with this commuinty.

I for one am extremely happy that Kripp is playing. He has a huge audience and is drawing people to this game. Love / hate / don't know Kripp doesn't matter: he is publicity.

Same thing goes for Athene. If he shows up, there will be a lot of similar comments. But, whether you love these guys, hate them, or don't know them, they are bringing in people to PoE which = awesome.

Personally, I hope Athene tries out PoE. That dude is much more love/hate, however he is a MASTER at marketing himself. He and his legions of fans would drop 250$ a piece on PoE if Athene said to.

First off, GGG and Chris have been awesome and have showed up on a lot of streams, far more than I expected.

Secondly, people like Kripps, or KaterSeventeen, or even Tara Stiles (yoga channel), they're people with a positive attitude. They do what they love to do. That's why people connect with them....

Well Kripp is a good player with a hmm so nice stream i personaly prefer him more than athene i just can and sit Kripp for a hours of his playing ( masochist but i can't play PoE no key..) so i am glad that Kripp tested out PoE and he likes it !

i think he deserves kiwi.


if people have problem with that...well then GGG should make something VERY special ONLY for Kripp/Kungen.

While I had no idea who Kripp is/was prior to this thread I have no problem with GGG giving him a kiwi. Heck there are already enough posts of people in this thread that bought the game because of Kripp that its already paid for itself.

I say get as many of these popular twitch gamers on board as possible just for the free publicity. Don't remember if there is a "Who recommended this game" or "Where did you hear about it" in the sign up form but maybe adding one so the devs can track how many people these twitch gamers bring in would be a good idea.
