Dissapointed 44 years old player

Every major update there was a major economy destabilizing event (temporalis in 0.1 was the first, but this might be the worst). Coincidentally, this was also the first league i wanted to do ALL the endgame content. I played POE2 last 2 weeks with over 60hours of endgame with some 20h of research so I can get up to speed with all the crafting mechanics which is way more time than i usually have on hands. I finally crafted and/or bought some ok equipment (max 10 divs per slot), and my next meaningful upgrades now cost at least 50+ divines. Brother, I'm dropping max 3div per map with all the currency and sidegame (craft/exchange ect.) combined. I don't have that time in the world. All 6 of my friends who occassionally played the game won't touch it for long time because you need 3rd party utilities and at least 4 sites open for everything you need and at that point you can just make real money following basically the same rules. Level 90+ this game is just a trade simulator with 0.1 % of players (abusers) sometimes deciding it was time to throw us into hyper-inflation mode because "dads" can't buy their shit anyway.
We all were in this boat once.

I'm not agreeing to ban them because this is early access. I'll leave GGG to fix this for 1.0 release.

After the game comes out, then cheaters need to be banned.

PS: if they ban streamers who will promote the game ;)

because this is early access.

People still keep clining to this belief despite of facts showing completely different reality )
I'm pretty much the same age.
Congrats on ever getting 150 divine orbs... I play 100's of hours every season and this time around I have only gotten 15 div before I quit.
I play console and don't use the trade system to sell though.
So I tried to farm and craft by myself and that simply doesn't work.
And the required crafting omens don't even exist, I ran rituals for 3 days and still can't get 1 of the items I need to even attempt 1 craft.

To be clear, I'm quoting a previous poster to make a point, not single them out:

Economies allow us to trade goods and services we have for the ones we want. This is Economics 101. This applies to real life, and certainly to PoE. The economy in PoE is accelerating player progression by WEEKS or MONTHS -not days. It's absurd to compare ourselves to players who are actively trading, and expect anything remotely close in results of progression or character power.

IMO, it's completely reasonable to be fed up with this league, and the game, in general. In it's current state the problems are almost too numerous to list. But understand, even in the best of leagues, trade rapidly accelerates player power, and economies create massive discrepancies between winners and losers.

TLDR: If we want to play the game mostly self-found, that's fine. However don't expect results similar to those who trade.
I love the TLDR on two paragraphs lol.
Well put, I understand the differences and advantages, it's a choice or ignorance depending how to look at it.
I prefer self found self crafted but depend greatly on trade also.
It's not perfect but it's functioning and some people are having a good time.
I'm just really struggling to get a omen of Homogenising and after 80 rituals I found just one omen of whitteling then converted it for 8 div but still haven't been able to craft anything in 3 days. And there's no omen of Homogenising in the Ange ever, although I doubt I could afford it.

Edit: I'll add that I spend all my currency trying to create a new base with the recombinator... 9-30% chances explodes so much. The crafting is just not reasonable. and I'm a 12hr a day casual.

get into whats called "starter" builds
its really hard to play the game without them and its a common knowledge for poe players, what i am guessing happened here u tried to copy someones end game build piece to piece and thats why u see it being so difficult

for example this season druid is a really good starter with 50ex u can do t4 bosses without much of a challenge, the build is slower, clunkier and less fun the most sure but its cheap and easy to build and thats what we call starters
u start the season with those so u dont get into this hole where u cant do t15 map comfortably and every upgrade take u weeks

speaking of this season though econony is ruined without way to repair now and people who think baning or deleting temples will fix anything are beyond delusional, if u didnt build ur temple yet or dont wanna abuse this mechanic just skip this season trust me its not worth it

These were removed from the game in 0.4. It's part of why everything is so expensive. It takes longer to craft good gear now.
Are you kidding me... I spent 30hrs looking for this.

Thank you.

All cool and interesting, useful, uniques drop from pinnacle content at droprates of 1 in 200 or stuff like 1 in 80, almost no one will ever see them in a reasonable time. Crafting mats become rarer and rarer and item drops are garbage.

Do I play an rpg for a class fantasy or is this a job simulator? I juice endgame to farm currency to buy what I need, I farm some niche content endlessly the rich people do not want to farm and I sell crafting bases because attempting to craft is expensive because for some reason we really need 50 currencies, omens and essences to "combo" resources to craft. How about I just choose what I want, fill up a meter and call it good? Lock the tier 1 and maybe 2 affixes to drop only. Itemdrops on the ground don't matter at all, you never get anything useful. Only once did I find a good drop (full t1 ES rare, extremely strong) in all my time of playing.

Loot is so incredibly unrewarding in this game and all you can do as such is trade because items are balanced around trade, ergo all I can do is farm currency to buy stuff since attempting to craft without treating the game as a job is simply not feasible in a realistic time frame.

This game needs some kind of SSF mode like last epoch does, call it whatever but there needs to be a non challenge mode alternative to trade since every season trade is simply all about getting ahead and staying ahead. People want to use fun items and try out builds, not be told "play this starter/budget build" because half the weirder stuff is unattainable.

Loot in this game is boring, simple as. Currency is not exciting, it is only exciting because nothing else even exists.
