No...the majority of players do not hate the game

For every one person that complains, they tell an average of 7 people. The people that like your product, tell almost nobody unless the subject comes up.

Based on various studies and reports, it's estimated that for every customer who complains, there are between 25 and 26 other unhappy customers who remain silent.
I like the game.

For every person who says they like the game there are 100000 people who also like the game, but remain silent.

There are no good statistics on this, but I would assume that the number of concurrent players tells that side of the story. I have no idea what the numbers are. I just do not want people thinking that all the people unhappy about the current game status are a minority. I do not think they are.

Now it may turn out that the dev's don't care if the game grows. But I would hate to see people fooling themselves into thinking the player base will get larger and the company will grow if they continue on this path.

When compared to past leagues in poe1, and also 0.1, this patch is a massive regression. There are numerous reasons for it, and I can spill it if requested, but i rather you accept my assertions. So when put up for comparison, it's really bad. I had refrained myself from posting for a few years now, but this patch has gone far too far, or rather far too low below acceptable.

For new players, or a child trying ice cream for the first time, they wouldn't be able to discern good from bad. I've heard some say: "I like the game". It's as a child would say "I like ice cream". Because poe is still the better arpg game compared to the rest, but has totally gone off course with this present patch.
`Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL
`From just quick sweep of your characters, toxic rain, golems .. sure, non meta... sure.` LOL
`What are divs?`

I mean, don't though.

You know how many people were playing Baldur's Gate 3 in March 2021, 5 months after it entered Early Access? Pretty close to not anybody. You know what game has secured a spot among the most successful and influential RPGs of all time?

Yeah dude, we're good. We've heard literally every single thing you have to say about it from every other person who thinks they're being clever every time they bring up "the vision."

Comparing BG3 EA to PoE2 EA is weird.

BG3 is a CRPG without live service, and more importantly, the Early Access was mostly pure bug testing and for feedback about mechanics, done by a few thousand testers like me.
For "Baldur's Gate 3", being in "Early Access" actually meant something.

I believe in the devs. They made it this far. They don't really need our feedback to make a good game, they have already proven this. Now, it's honorable they want our feedback. But let's be real. They don't really need to listen to it if they don't want to. I secretly hope they don't, tbh, and just keep making quality stuff like the 100 support gems they just dropped for free out of nowhere.

aha the 100 support gems that have like only 10-20 of them being viable

I don't agree, but even if you were right, they're in the game now. That means the devs are obligated to balance and polish them as they have to do with all content they release to the game.

Thus I say, let them add another 1000 useless gems to the game. In the long run, they will have to fix everything that is useless anyway.
