No...the majority of players do not hate the game

I've been noticing a lot of people tossing around the steam reviews and using it as reference to claim that "most players" are turned away from the game and that they are the "majority" of players. This of course, is so far from the truth and is not bored out once you inspect the data. So let's break it down and showcase why these people are wrong and that the MAJORITY of players are having a positive experience and enjoying themselves.

Since the launch there as been 141,321 total reviews. Currently, on steam it breaks down as following;

Since April 4th;

Negative: 17,601

In the last 30 days

Negative:13,549

Total players daily average since April 4th- 87,839

Percent of players who casted negative reviews since April 4th
Negative: 15.42% of daily playerbase.

So No...I know you want to pretend you are the majority but you are not. Even if you look at this forum and reddit. Both of them with people leaving negative reviews STILL account for less than 20% of the total player base.

Stop it cause its kind of sad that ya'll use this stuff and don't even understand the data you are trying to present as evidence of your argument.

I absolutely dont understand the shitstorm about that incredible game, which is still in EA with devs doing their best.
I guess today gamers are.... like this ?

PoE2 took no lessons from the YEARS of PoE1 development and has made some of the least-liked PoE1 content mandatory in the form of Sekhemas/Chaos trials.

PoE2 has also copied the frustrations of PoE1 where you can be mindlessly clearing hundreds and hundreds of mobs, and then your character will absolutely explode instantaneously out-of-nowhere because of ??? with no ability to learn from it or adapt next time.

Fortunately, GGG has changed the atlas maps to not all be single-use, but this is a band-aid to a greater issue where the game gives you almost no feedback and it is impossible to know how much threat any given mob/attack poses.

I have the impression that you are slightly overinterpreting what is written on Steam. There is that of all the recently posted reviews (~17k), most of them are negative. So we don't know what the "silent" people think about the current state of the game. To assume that they are all satisfied is far-reaching optimism.

Not everyone has the experience to know what "best dev effort" realistically means. Customers, managers, executives - so easy for people to think "devs are wizards, surely it just needs a wave of their hand to fix?"

False. 17k negative reviews have been left since the launch of POE 2. In the last 30 days (dawn of the hunt) the numbers are 13,549

You can look at the chart and use a calculator like i did lol

If it were possible to leave reviews in the PS store, I would leave a negative one, why? Yes, because after a massive error on PS, players and I, including, can no longer access their character or create a new one in the league, we can only play on standard. Some have not been able to play for more than a week, what kind of review do you think we would leave about this game on Steam? Especially given the attitude of the developers there.

Come on, don't joke that everyone who criticizes the current state of POE2 wants to destroy this game.

Or maybe it's not bad, but it could have been better, this is not insults or disgust, but it shouldn't have been like this now, it should have been better. Absolutely spot on.

But hey, just because the majority of reviews are negative, and the majority of Forum posts are negative, and the majority of YouTube videos are negative, and the majority of Twitch streamers are negative, and the majority of word of mouth is negative only means that the game is well received and doing great, everyone loves it!
