" yes and having 6 portals does not force masochists or "top players" to use only one if they really want 1 portal mechanic... just force everyone to play in hardcore mode in map it's stupid and if that doesn't change not actually they are going to lose a lot of players including me, we are already punished enough with the regular oneshots and the loss of exp without adding this useless mechanic |

Make 1 portal an atlas option with an increased rarity/quantity reward boon.
For everyone else let them play without the stress. The rest of your player base, which I suspect is not the minority, can do what...gitgud? Or is the plan to sell me a private league I can set up with 6 portals and carebear difficulty because I'm not a 'skilled player'? If I had known how much of Ruthless had been integrated into PoE2, I would not have bought the $100 supporter pack because this game makes it clear I am not their target audience and I feel like PoE intentionally held this back to get the influx of cash from PoE 1 enjoyers who had goodwill for the game and company. |

1 death is bad, I agree
But I dont think that 6 portal normal like the 1st game is a good option also, something in between would be better. IDK, something like "1 or 2 retries after death".. so it is still somewhat punishing but also letting us to decide if we want risk +10% xp to face the boss or creature that killed us, or at least loot the rest of the map. |

" You already have two games if you don't want to look at the screen if you're playing games: PoE 1 and Diablo 4. People play Elden Ring for thousands of hours and you have to pay attention to the screen in that game all the time or you're dead. |

Died on map this morning, lost XP, thought why the hell am I playing. The thing is, it doesn't feel more rewarding when you succeed, just worse when you lose. Think I'm out now after 90 odd hours. |
