Why is it so hard to 6 link? Why is the probability so low?
Nonsense. Try. What else are you going to use fusings for? Just don't expect it. I tend to save about 150 fusings up before breaking a 5L and even that bites me in the butt now and then.
You should get a 5L about 10 times before you get a 6L. But to not try is really pointless. |

Apparently, that's when my account was created. I still don't have the achievement for 6 linking an item myself. Call it "hard" or a "challenge", I call it discouraging and one of the main reasons I can never commit to this game for a long time. If not being able to 6 link an item in 5-6 years is acceptable, I can only shrug my shoulders and spend my money somewhere else. For now, the game seems to be good enough, to survive with it's major issues. GGG just has to be careful, not the fall into the Blizzard trap of thinking, they can't fail. |

" I'm always a little amused when people talk about 6 links as some sort of uber end goal. That's just never been my experience with them at all. Now, admitadly a popular unique or god-tier rare item as a 6-link is probably a end game goal to work towards..... but for me, a 'reasonable' 6 link is something I usually secure before working on yellow maps. It's usually pretty easy to get a 6link base piece for around 50-60c early in a league, down to 20-30c late in the league. Then just hit it with essences, or alc-scours (If you're tight on resources, you should probably save Chaos for trading rather then crafting) until you hit something 'reasonable'. A mid-range level of Life (or ES), maybe a few resists, craft on an extra decent mod, and you're good to go up to and including killing uber elder - no exalts or lotto luck required. And in my experience, a 'decent' 6 link is generally preferable to a top-tier 5 link. This is of course, mostly for trade leagues, but even if you're SSF, just look at farming 'Emperor of Purity' divination card. It will get you a 6 link base and can be acquired pretty quickly generally speaking. Dernière édition par GoldDragon32#7655, le 5 mai 2019 à 16:55:58

For the longest time (years) I only made builds which would only use generic rare armours so buying a 6L would be easy. Only in the past couple years have I started linking things myself, mostly on Shav's and Inpulsa's and the like. When I do this, I plan to make do with a 5L and the 6L is an ongoing chase goal until it happens.
If you want to 6L yourself, I'd recommend what many others have: 1) Don't buy fuses. Use the chaos/exalts you get to make progress on your other gear. This way you won't feel stuck in your progression, regardless of your success linking. 2) Save up around 300 fuses and use them on your 6S item until it hits 5L again, until that magical time when you get the 6L. Don't get too greedy, as while 150 fuses will usually get you a 5L, sometimes you'll get unlucky, and getting stuck with a 4L is pretty lousy. If it only costs an extra exalt or two to buy an already 6L'd item I'd generally recommend that. If it's 3ex or more (and you can get a better rolled base) it can be worth a gamble, but it's always possible that you will get perpetually unlucky trying to roll the 6L. |

" Exactly, I feel the same, no point in playing anymore. And that should be an issue for the devs. Btw, I see some people misunderstanding the question. "Why is this so hard?" Can you explain to me exactly what is so hard about clicking thousands of times on an item to get six links? it's just boring. And farming for those fusings, well, doing a boring map that you can clear easily just because it is "efficient" over and over just to get the necessary currency. Again, nothing hard here. Just gets boring after a while. From a game design perspective is just a cause for frustration. No challenge, no progression, an invisible wall to progression put in place because of the extremely low probability. As a counter-example: Labyrinth and Ascendency points. They give a big boost to your build power and present a good challenge too. Even If you fail, you can see your progression as you get deeper and deeper into the labs as your build and skills improve. There is 0 progression to a 6 link. 0 feeling of achievement, at best, you get relieved that you now can finally tackle some new content. |

" such an insightful comment, such will to improve the game, such a welcoming feeling. cmon, I asked how was your experience? Do you like this part of the game or do you think it needs improvement? I did 6link items, but it is such a frustrating experience, is it just me? |

" Rule of law is either you accept the fact you aren't going to get a 6L in X amount of fusings don't get mad if you do well you do - If you don't well you don't you don't cry in the forum about it. It's your choice to gamble by accepting that maybe you won't get emo about it. Or you could 1500 fusings buy the recipe in 820 and be done with it. But here you are WHEW.
