Auction house
" Well, as he's got a little more experience than you in actual hands on with this stuff and a lot more invested in getting it right, I'm more inclined to listen to him. But most of this discussion is missing the point. The reason for not implementing an AH has nothing to do with economy, and everything to do with the social interconnectedness of the game. Once you have an AH you lose people visiting each other's Hideouts, random link ups that generate ingame friendships, and a thousand other subtle social spinoffs that trickle down to touch almost every other feature of the gameplay, and keep the game from becoming no more than a single player market simulator. Chris understands that. An AH would kill the community and trickle down to kill the game. There is no economy without community. Dernière édition par t0lkien#7048, le 31 juil. 2019 à 22:36:59

" That's my point though, saying "I love trading", while wanting it to be a one-click adventure is weird. It's like the people saying they "love" the lab, while they hate everything but the rewards in the end. There's tons of improvement they could do with trade, and I'm all for a lot of them. Auction house? No. Automated trade? No. What I want, is a little notification somewhere on the screen, telling you you have a sale/trade pending. Pressing this notification pops up a menu - no matter where you are - where you get three choices: Accept, decline or a haggle option. How this would work in practice with item transportation, I'm not sure of. What bothers me, are these "either/or, black/white, everything/nothing" millennials; "I DEMAND an AH, everything else is crap". Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" While I agree there's tons of improvements they could do with trade, it's a question more of what will fix the biggest issues. And please don't blame the tide pod eaters, they're sorting themselves out as it were. |

" Oh, maybe we should make party play more enjoying and rewarding then? ATM playing in party feels awful due to PoE's "oneshot all screen and run at supersonic speed" playstyle. BTW, i think, that in order to let players interact more and show MTXes to each other, a game should have far more multiplayers aspects. Like MMORPG. IGN: MortalKombat

" I would be all for something like that. All i truly want is exactly that at the very least. A trade that works like that, no forced going to HO or join groups. I have asked for something just like that many times in the forums. However i am also for a buyout system if done right, though i feel this if NOT done right could be very easily manipulated by players. But i need something, i hate trade so much anymore, can barely play. IGN:Axe_Crazy

" " Very hard to implement both of these with success. Anyhow, the nightmare for me, is instant trading. I like playing the game. I'm one of those that NEVER feel forced to trade. I will NEVER spend 30 minutes "trying to trade" instead of playing the game. I like playing too much. I look VERY strangely on people saying "But, but, I don't want to spend my time trading, I want to play the game". THEN PLAY THE GAME! Needless to say, I like the game and I like the in-game progression. Maybe A LOT of people would, if they weren't too hellbent on trading for everything the second they got "stuck". Anyhow, what will happen to this in-game progression the moment they implement instant trading? Every decision/addition/balance in the future will be made with instant trading in mind? That's scary. Both for the in-game progression and drop rates of everything. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

There are so many threads about this but GGG has stated that there will not do this.
But I would LOVE a AH of some short as the trading system IS garbage right now and open to Scammers and price fixers. But GGG wont do it :( |

This game is still very much in beta, if they can't fix trade it always will be.

" trade gave you that idea? i thought it was the fact that its still choppy in extreme density no matter what your supercomputer is. hopefully the game will be smooth at all times by poe4.0 ;) |
