Auction house

GGG will have to do something, you can't hardly buy anything in the traded channels ( too many ) RMT bots , and Price fixers on POEtrade. it is out of hand ! It will become the downfall some day of a great game.

An Auction House WON'T solve those problems, if anything it'll make it worse.

are you kidding I find some of the best currency exchange rates in the trade channels, and price fixing is laughably easy to avoid
If by easy to avoid you mean by paying more than an item is worth maybe, and it's pretty hard to avoid on currency traes.

You are not paying more than the item is worth. You are exactly paying what the item is worth. All the ones indexed at a lower price, are not for sale.

And keep one thing in mind...people want an automated MARKET with FIXED PRICES, not an actual Auction house. BIG difference.

I sure as hell wouldn't want an automated market with fixed prices.
~ Please separate the PoE1 and PoE2 forums.
Turns out an automated market with fixed prices is functionally equivalent to removing trade all together. The second one is a whole lot easier to implement.
Removing trade will never happen. Automated system with fix prices will never happen. Stop being romantics, start being realists.

Either discuss an alternate middle ground (which is arguably needed) or shut up.

Thank you.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
I wasn't arguing for either. I was kind of pointing out how stupid this whole discussion is. Anyone who claims that change is "needed" is deluded to. This game has already lasted far longer and made far more money than anyone ever expected it to. It doesn't "need" anything.

I'm not sure "we dont need to change" and resting on their laurels, is the best business strategy.

In fact, stubbornness and a lack of willingness to adapt is a disastrous mindset in business world.
