If you aren't pulling at least 60k+ effective DPS and at least 10k effective life by the time you hit 90 your build probably isn't a good one and you had plenty of time to optimize your gear to make it good.
You don't balance the game for players with mirror gear because 99.9% of them are on standard anyway and they wanted that power level, but you can't balance your game around the worst builds possible either.

We are not talking about raising monster life x100, we are talking about not exploding enemies in 1 second like loot pinyatas.


Lol, when I wear a shield and get 10k EF I feel like I'm cheating, not to mention vaal discipline. I'm not sure some of you guys really want the game to be harder but there's one good way to do it.

No, of course I don't use services and I'd never pay for such, out of principle, and I also never needed to. It'd ruin the whole point of character progression. You really got the wrong picture.
Do you really think I would make this thread asking GGG to slightly increase post-Ascendancy game difficulty, and then turn around and pay someone for a boss kill(that I don't even need?!) What? Use your head please.

PS: I could MAYBE see where you're coming from 2-3 years ago when act bosses could pose a threat, but lvling's been a walk in the park for many leagues now, so yea...

crashes, dc's, etc. i honestly can't give a fuck whether i die or not before lvl 92ish, since 99% of those deaths will come from fake difficulty produced by performance and server issues.

Game is too easy as in Softcore gameplay? If you want difficult gameplay - play in hardcore where your mistakes are generally punished. HC would be the answer to difficulty that your looking for.



I agree that there is ZERO risk/reward for playing on hardcore and also zero incentive in general to playing on HC servers which is part of the problem imo. Unique HC only drops , some type of bonus drop rate due to the risk , an extra life token type currency. Unique map types. Mods that can ONLY be found on HC , crafting which can only be done on HC ..Increased boss drops etc could go a loooong way in drawing players into HC , maybe even players to the game which are very much needed for a ftp model.

Personally ill dump alot of support money into the game once HC perma becomes more than a deadzone. Its silly that the only reason HC is even viable is to dump all the items into SC after the league ends in HC. That imo is bad design. I can safely assume the only reason HC perma is dead is because its pop is compelled into leagues due to the regular mass exodus that occurs when leagues begin.
you can equip less powerful gems and items until the difficulty is as you want it

Yep, and lose your lvl95 character due to random disconnect or lag. Let me think.... No, it isnt the difficulty i want.
For me, game should be hard, and it should allow you to learn from your mistakes. Leveling character again and again after each mistake is just plain stupid, that's what i think about it.
