How the fuck does anyone play hardcore?
Level 92 (about to hit 93) in 1MHC, and around 45th place. Plenty of people can play hardcore without dying. And don't use the alt F4 arguement on me, I facetank haast and all the other beyonders in 78 maps with no problems.

Been playing HC challenge leagues since Onslaught with anywhere from 0-25 FPS, 50-90ms, no macros, shitty logitech wireless mouse, on a, now 4 year old laptop.
I regularly RIP between 85-89 mostly due to FPS and pushing content I probably shouldnt with said FPS problems.(died three fucking times at 89 in Invasion trying to get 90) With enough time and knowledge you know, or can estimate quite accurately, the limits of your current character and in my case your hardware, when to rush and progress and when to slow down and level or swap gear. And desync becomes almost a non-issue as you dont put yourself in desync prone situations as much as possible and can recognize immediately, depending on your build, when you are desync'd or mobs are and play around it or hit oos macro if you chose to use it. tl;dr Experience and attentiveness. Mostly it involves cowardice and hiding behind builds with painfully improper risk/reward balances.

If anything all I can say is this...
You keep your stash. Desync, you learn to play around. In a perfect situation you want to learn when you can desync and when to /oos. If you died to a boss because you "desynced" then you died because you didn't play the scenario out the best way you could, basically bad play. Desync really is not an issue to HC players in my opinion, since i can manage it very well. Also this game is very mechanic dependent, and there is allot to learn, attacks, delays, etc. It's not as simple as clicking on an enemy and wait for loot. Q: HOW THE FUCK DOES ANYONE PLAY HARDCORE?
A: /oos on a MACRO!! F2 or F3 preferably! could vary! Learn how to use it where it pertains to the skill your using! (Some ARE very much worse than others!) Oh..... and that sentence that sometimes has different colored lines of words under the monsters life at the top of the screen.... you have to pay attention to those and by pay attention i mean you have to read them and engage accordingly! I wonder what excuse everyone will use once desync is minimal after 2.0.

" I understand monster awareness, I know how to play around my skills. My question is how does anyone deal with this shit; take me for example. Load into battlefront. Game dc's after 2 seconds in the instance (i haven't moved yet). I log back in, and my character is in standard. I'd been using the internet the whole day so I know for sure it wasn't my connection. I have not yet died to an actual encounter in HC yet; just shit like this. And it makes me want to punch my computer screen whenever I lose an entire day of playing the game because of some bullshit error. |

" Im not sure but i can tell you right now who has 2 thumbs and is never going bitch about ANYTHING in this game ever if i can just use cyclone and whirling blades and barrage without desync! Those 3 skills i have no idea what it is they have in common as far as desync and rubber banding goes but they are the worst! In fact unless i have tons of MS on a character i see minimal desync so long as i stay away from these skills! There is a fine line between Consideration and Hesitation. Thing about the dsync is to know what does cause dsync. Try to avoid running/whirling/leap slamming through mobs, avoid running around the corners, avoid standing in door entrances and your dsync problem will be forever gone. But, good news for ya, you might be able to get away with those things after the 2.0.0 as GGG is rewriting their net-code and thus dsync will be partially fixed.
