Cast on Crit Really NEEDs a Nerf (Who Loves CoC k?)

I have a question for CoC fanboys: If this build is bad, then why it is so popular?

After a quick search here are some facts:

Its one of the best builds in game, source http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/599443 (i know that post is a bit old)

A few quotes:

Yeah, at this point I wonder if they arent just baiting people or are honestly that stupid.
I wish GGG mods were as evil as some of them sing, I bet there would be much less threads like these around.

I wish to believe that they are still working for those 5 bucks, the alternative is just sad.

If anything with years of studying society I can tell that people are easily manipulated, not only by what others say due to ignorance and lazyness to do their own research but by their own immaturity (see jealousy, being unable to admit when they are wrong and avoiding points that factually destroy their arguments like its the motherfucking plague)
Current generations are more whiners and less workers, kinda reminds me of those 99% rallies where I'd see some of those poor poor people wearing 300 bucks jeans and carrying expensive guitars

I really hope GGG is in the process of balancing this skill out.

For those who are crying out in defence of CoC, imagine prior to it being introduced someone suggested: "I suggest a gem that has allows you to cast all the spells linked to your attack simultaneously every time you crit with this attack"

You would be the first people to ridicule such a suggestion as being ridiculously OP and detrimental to the game's balance... and you would be right.

The only reason to defend CoC as it is at this point is fanboy cronyism.

It takes a man to admit when they are wrong. So Man up guys and stop digging in your heels in defense of a bad gameplay mechanic.

Before I even read the post I look to see if the poster has been probated or banned, as this can show their purpose and point of view. It can also show they don't make shit up and don't tolerate shit.

Just a FYI, "shit" means anything not worthy of respect as it is a load of crap.

So first thing I notice is that this person is banned. That means they did something really bad to really piss off someone at GGG. This is usually through multi-boxing, buying or selling with real money (and being reported), and basically all of the things that go to show the person probably shouldn't be trusted.

Moving on to the thread, you should also notice that he puts it third. Additionally he mentions another CoC build that isn't as tanky, which you copied into your post. Yet again, if you follow the thread that he has linked, it was created by him. So it will be extremely biased in that he will list things in his preferred order. This means it will reflect less on the actual power and capability of the build.

Some people love melee so much that only melee will seem viable to them. Some people love glass cannons so much, that they won't see "viability" or capability unless it is something that hinges on you one-shotting it before it one-shots you, regardless of what it is. Other people have a more general view and do not care about playing or having any specific thing and genuinely focus on finding the most powerful thing.

Unfortunately, there is no singular thing that is overwhelmingly better than anything else. This includes all aspects of PvE and PvP, together and separate.

Strawpolls here mostly don't represent what most players think because on game forums, results will always be skewed in favor of fanboys and idiots (the two groups not necessarily being mutual exclusive:) )

So the number of players who say CoC is fine in this poll, would be actually much less than what the poll shows.

You can be banned for using a gem in the game? Wut?

Back into reality, I'm talking about CoC. If you read my post you would have noticed that I said it is one of many ways to determine what a person usually does.

If you know what a person usually does, you know what they will try to do, regardless of what the topic is. If someone is frequently probated, it is likely that they break forum guidelines and that means they get out of hand. If someone gets banned, they are doing more than just breaking guidelines and would break rules to gain an advantage over others.

Someone that wants to get an advantage over others will instill the impression that an item is now worthless so that they can buy all of them. Next week the item was nerfed and they can now demand a higher price.

Hopefully now you understand why I brought up the fact your linked friend was banned.
