The 10% EXP penalty on death NEEDS TO GO
First, this game has incredible depth and longevity. It surpasses other dungeon crawler games I have played (Diablo, Torchlight ect...)
BUT once you reach the higher levels such as 85+ losing 10% of your experience when you die is overly punishing. High level maps are hard to come by and I am lucky if I even get 1% experience after an entire map. Add to this the insane offense many of the bosses on this game have where any amount of lag or a single mistake can mean instant death, it's just ridiculous. In short, the 10% penalty brings nothing of value to this game. All it's doing is making me skip vast amounts of the content and many of the bosses because the rewards simply aren't worth the risks. And I have much better things to do with my time then spend it grinding the same experience points over and over because I had a lag spike or didn't see a reflect aura. Reduce the penalty to maybe 1 or 2%. That I could live with. But as things are now, the experience penalty upon death is greatly hurting my enjoyment of this game. And if it doesn't change, chances are it's going to drive me away. I have already considered quitting because of it several times in fact. Ce fil de discussion a été automatiquement archivé. also you dont play "high" level maps if you get only 1% xp at lv86, you are just stuck at lv68-70 maps if you do
leveling to 90 is not an issue if you know how to ign:Aka/WindREEP/Equoris/DevilsmilE/TheLastHour/BigFuckinMaulMan and a lot more.

I think you missed the point of my post.
When you add such a punishing mechanic that causes the player to basically avoid playing many parts of your game then its a bad mechanic. It's not hard to avoid dying on this game. Just play it safe and don't do any content where you might die. But that is harmful and hurts the player's enjoyment of the game. And why you think playing in such a way means you are more worthy of leveling up makes no sense to me. It's just bad game design. You want your player to enjoy the content you add. Not avoid it because one death means they lose a week's worth of work. And if your best argument is "don't die" then you have definitely failed to sway me. 1 or 2% is plenty. But if you want to continue pretending to be so hardcore and drive players like me away be my guest. In the end its the game that suffers, because it loses players. |

" 10% xp reduction is the penalty for dying, why reduce it to 1-2% xp? What would be the point then, remove it completely. It's not a penalty if you don't feel bad for dying. I mean durability loss just annoys people and same thing with half rewards/xp for 15 mins and so on. The question is should we have a penalty or not penalty, arguing what the exact thing is fruitless because people will disagree on how harsh it should be. |

" i dont agree, dying pentalty gives you the incentive to build a character that can handle the HARDEST content without dying, if you have to choose where to go and where to not, i believe you have built a character that could have been better, or you are just not playing well i do every single mapmod except for bloodmagic with my 2800hp Eva ranger, why? because i want to know what can i handle and what can i not, and you know what? i die when i make stupid mistakes, its not the game's fault i fuck up ign:Aka/WindREEP/Equoris/DevilsmilE/TheLastHour/BigFuckinMaulMan and a lot more.
