AA is not OP - block is broken.

Potential balances to block:

1) cap lowered to 50% or 60% instead of 75%

2) block passives nerfed

3) introduce diminishing returns on block chance: e.g., shields start with a certain block % and passives grant % increased block chance (multiplicative) instead of +% (additive)

4) overhaul of block mechanics, like block takes 25% of damage instead of 0 damage

Personally i like 3 and 4

Block on the passive tree isnt all that broken, its actually pretty hard to get max block without sacrificing a lot of damage if you dont get assistance from a tonne of uniques. Its not just Aegis I am talking about, but uniques that you can fit into most other slots that synchronise well with +block change & therefore assist aegis greatly.

Nerfing block on the passive tree only forces people to use more uniques, which I dont think is the right path to follow.

GGG will not turn AA legacy because it will no resolve the block OP issue.
Instead they will nerf block chance which makes it harder to reach 75%.
As a result, in order to reach 75% block, you will sacrifice a large amount of physical damage output.

Basically who owns AA is doubled fucked since it is not turning legacy and block being nerfed.

Whoever bought AA should sell them now before the patch note.

Go check out the price using poe xyz, all sellers are pushing hard to sell their AA.

I see nothing OP in Aegis or 75% block chance, you still die more than enough in PoE even with this (at least in solo play, I can't say anything to group play).
Why does GGG constantly nerf things that are not even OP (for normal players) but rarely buff things that really need a buff? PoE is hard, everything hit's like a truck and can instant kill you, every trash mob, anything. I find AA a useful item for some builds, to just stay a little bit longer alife. My Facebreaker build has an Aegis but is still not invincible. maybe it's OP when you are in groups where each player has a lower chance to be an target, but who cares...

However, if more people want to sell their Aegis, why not, but if, they should lower the current prices instead of raising, ~20 Exalted for an Aegis? Lol, I bought mine for 7 EX+ change and I find even this overpriced. There must be so many Aegis (and other Uniques) in Poe, the prices should actualy lower every day, especialy in standard.
Even after over a year I still do not understand PoE economy completely, maybe I just play to much selffound charas (except the ONE Facebreaker build of course). ^^"

Even 4k armour Aegis would do much much better than CoP.
1k ES is really easy to acquire, and that's excellent for a under-budgeted build.

Agree on the second part except the IR part.
In new leagues CoP is the ultimate starting shield, but as soon as you could equip Aegis, CoP gets obsolete.

You can bump Granite flask to get over 10k armour.

It's not a belief, it's how it works, sadly.

They do legacy items so player will buy more stash tab. Got it? (And I would not be surprised if GGG was doing.... well I am not say it without solid proof)

Don't nerf block, just nerf AA like you did Soul Taker and Koam's Heart.

Please don't overreact and punish the block tree like you did life nodes in the past.
