does GGG even ban RMTers

I don't see how RMT-ing could enhance anything. It could inflate someone's ego but even that would be artificial and based mostly on self-deception.

It's because you play for different reasons. It's ALL artificial. Farming a hundred hours for a Bringer of Rain is fun for me, but by more objective standards it can equally be seen as an incredible waste of time (especially if I didn't enjoy it). What does finding it do for me? It makes me go "YAY!", but that is purely ego-driven and artificial, too. Is it fundamentally different from some kid mowing the grass for an extra two neighbours so that he can afford to RMT a Bringer of Rain? It's just as earned, just in a different way.

Someone else may find farming un-fun and they just want to get to level 100, get a top-50 ladder spot without having to "work" the game (trading can turn into a full time job), or rock in PvP. Some people may simply not have the time to play dozens of hours a week, but may still want to experience the end game. Others may want to see the end game, but not spend a year playing the same game, because their backlog is huge, etc.

Me? I'm happy I found a game I can play for years, and RMTing would be like shooting myself in the foot, but I feel that makes me a minority rather than a member of the majority.

Why someone who don't like farming even plays ARPGs?
I call POE hardly an ARPG it's more a MMORPG or better an Asiagrinder.

The times needed in POE are over the top.

Read what I wronte everything should be more common.
Perhaps you do believe this. But my point is that it's off-topic in a RMT thread; your rationale for this either does not depend on RMT, or is irrational. A change to the legit economy should concern itself with how it affects legit players.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

I believe the point is if drops were way more common, RMT prices would of course have to decrease, making the money potential from it far smaller, and thereby decreasing RMT. It works assuming the number of potential clients does not also increase.

If by "drops way more common" you mean all drops, then yeah. But you'd also be setting the economy into hyperinflation death throes all the sooner. It's also worth noting that RMT prices decreasing does not mean RMT revenue would decrease an equal amount; it's likely the customers would be interested in buying larger stacks at a time.

You need good item sinks or why should items be permanent anyway?
That's why I favour craft based games instead of grindbased games.

Make them break and currency decay after sometime to have a constant change.

I prefer games like The Witcher as ARPG, where alchemy ingredients is the only stuff you grind or Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim.

He was rather a small fish who ran a maprunning service for fools gold so possible something was caught on his stream.
His past broadcasts are still up along his live ban.

Damn I wish A or B would receive a live ban on new leagues......

But well they guy you wanted to know who he is here does the same but he doesn't stream.

And there are people who are far more obvious. They are literally begging for a ban.
How likely is it they buy certain rare/unique there and try to sell it here for gain?

Or obvious Tradeswappers in every league.

The only thing that happened on stream was me accepting fg for running maps, which since no goods were being delivered... ie a map running service, the ban fell into a shade of grey.

Was still entertaining!

They will also ban people who can prove they never spent a penny on anything in game of RMT... gotta love the loose terminology they use!

Lol in my case I could prove how it went from igc to fg back to igc...

Stop trolling char... I was perm banned. Cant access that account anymore obviously lol

So, this 'interesting phone call with Chris', when he explained how it is 'use of external currency' which is against the rules (and ethics, morals, spirit of gaming and everything fucking else) not just use of real money. Which he undoubtedly would; how did you still not get it?

I watched your ban escalating, I watched you ignore forum posts, GGG posts and twitch chat, that explained quite clearly that 'external currency' is the deal breaker, which real money, forum gold, bananas, weed and fucking sexual favours if used as such, fall under. I watched you 'fingers in ears' at every person attempting to inform you of the rules and claim your 'no use of real money' absolved you from any wrong.

You ignored the warnings, the explanations, the obvious, and got banned.
You had it explained by CW himself..

Yet here you are, STILL spouting that it was FG and not real money and you could prove such.

Ifuckingrrelevant.

Casually casual.

actually the talk with chris was more along the lines of he had heard about the case and didn't want anyone banned until there was a consensus? but someone jumped the gun? This was roughly 8 months ago so some details are a bit foggy. It came down to him not being able to investigate my individual case... even though i could prove it otherwise, he would have to then invest that same amount of time into every other accusation against others to see if they are innocent of actually using money or not...

All in all, it didn't bother me significantly as I still continue to play the game and enjoy myself. Key note for people just tuning in, my original account is still perm banned.

Edit: by him/he... that's him referring to GGG
