Why does reave not work properly with Dual wield?

Reave (and Frenzy, and numerous support gems like Life Gain on Hit) are considerably stronger the faster you attack.

Dual-wielding gives you 10% more attack speed.

Are the synapses connecting yet?

It's not always about the dmg. I can see myself killing map bosses way easier with reave than with cleave if i could just get over the stupid animation.

Edit: If you care about the dmg part, think of it like this. Before you had to use dual+splash. Now you have 1 skill slot open for more dmg supports.

Half? Your definition of DPS is also not taking into account AoE.
given that you have to constantly reposition yourself to put mobs into aoe it is a moot point. melee splash is indiscriminate and works in 360'. this one works in a cone - just tried it in citi of sarn vs some whirlingbladers. good luck using this skill there with any success, good luck

Wtf? Shift is used to stand still and attack.

8 stacks of reave is a big frontal cone aoe

Im not sure why the hell it would be a bug.
skill was designed NOT for dualwielding
its claw/sword + shield in first place
why u expect from it? overDPS dual strike? we have melee splash for duo, cleave for 2H and this for 1H
Looks good for me and designed very well
More Aoe than Cleave in full stack + crit possibility of claws/daggers make it strong skill gem

No it isn't. Daggers can't cleave. crit dagger reave beats axe cleave in dps, lol. (of course both accepting godly equip) :D
