Why? How would this improve the game in any way?

why dont you just go to the other threads and ask the same question?

and i thought stupid questions do not exist ^^

Well, It's not a stupid question. When coming up with suggestions, you should have a clear understanding of how it will improve the game.

As I see it, this idea will force players to rebirth. Nobody would ofc rebirth at 80, that would be stupid as you would gain more at 100. But when you reach 100 you will without question rebirth, as it is necessary if you want to be strong enough for pvp.

I prefer to make a new character and try out a new build. Your idea just forces people to make the character once again.

its a stupid question because i felt the dude was trolling

because its kinda obvious what that idea would help improve or theoretically should improve

and trust me people would rebirth at 80, because they simply do not want to grind up to 100

reaching 100 is nearly impossible as GGG stated, so its all about time investement

here you have a guy going for lvl 100, he is 99 now and still trying

then you have a guy at 80, who knows that he will never reach 100 so he rebirth right away..

then you hve people going the "mid" way rebirthing at 90, because lets say at 90 lvling becomes a pain in the ass...

imo this idea adds another element of diversity and incentive to keep playing

the basic concept is clear, its all about the fine tuning now...

for example you could give chars getting reborn to chose a different class

If there is a bonus to get people WILL go for max. I wouldn't take rebirth at 80 knowing I would get a minor buff.

Your idea just, as I said before, forces people to remake chars. You could just give them the buff right away? When reaching lvl 80 you gain a buff, and that buff continues to 100. It doesn't really add anything. I think getting a high level char is an achievement enough - you'll get a character with a lot of passives, and now it's about getting him geared up.

The most players will probably make many chars, but that is because they want to, not because they have to.

trust me dude, i played a game with that system and thats where i got the idea from

max lvl was 130

rebirth at 110

and you had ppl rebirthing at all possible levels

practical execution may differ from theory

Funnily enough, this wouldn't improve the game. It would break it, a LOT.

Many players will do this because it is the optimal way to play, not because it is fun.
Isn't this a common feature in Korean mmos to pointlessly extend the game so they dont have to add as much content? Its not really a fun thing. It just forces you to have to level your character twice other wise you wont be as good as other people in the game. It would become a requirment rather than a fun feature.
I like all the fluffy animals[img]http://i.imgur.com/mO8dR.png[\img]
y im slept?
I loved that system in Ragnarök Online. But in that game you could only be reborn if you actually reached max level, so it really was an extensions after you completed EVERYTHING with that character.
And the fun thing was that you didn't just get a minor buff, you could choose completely different advanced jobs after being reborn with new skills and skins.
I would love the rebirth system in PoE, but the gameis not designed for it at all, since it's already almost impossible to reach lvl 100.

There is one other thing from Ragnarök Online that I loved though:
Max LVL chars had a little blue aura around them.
Maybe PoE could get a similar visual cue (for town and unless a real aura is cast) for characters that reached lvl 90.

Lol at this numbskull trolling the d3 forums with his awesome suggestion
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!

Did Ragnarök have a lot of build possibilities? It's not a system that will work for PoE, who would want to remake their char? Or even trade him off for a new build? I would like to keep my chars, not be forced to remake.

I think it would be pretty annoying in the small towns to have people flashing around their auras. And it might be confusing, as there is many skill auras in the game.

Yes, it did. You couldn't even get all active skills in each jobs skilltree, even if you level to 100, and priest were not even able to get half. Also a slot system like in D2 was used pretty much like uniques here, allowing even crazier builds. Even more than here.
But I already said, that this system wouldn't work here well, since lvl 100 is not meant to be reached.
And in the extremely rare case you actually managed that, you probably NEVER want to reset that char.

How many +90 chars do you expect to see? Also I already said "unless a real aura is cast". And it doesn't have to be a bright flashing thing, just some visual cue.
