Sexy females
I want sexy females. I want sexy men too. Make stripperific costumes for both sexes and their pets to boot.
Then counterbalance it with the most horrifically unsexy things you can find. I suggest disgusting fatbody costumes with lots of exposed leg and pubic hair. |

While the original post had some pretty stupid language in it (sexy sluts? You will have put a lot of people off your idea straight away with that phrase, and I don't blame them), I agree with your general idea.
Sex isn't inherently bad. Sometimes I struggle to understand why there are still so many puritanical people around, but then I remember... My suggestion though is to create a Fantasy League, where you can have all sorts of crazy skins, sexy revealing women, sexy revealing men, and not just skins to do with sex, you could have all sorts of stuff to sell. Pirates, ninjas, ninja pirates etc. But you can only use these skins in the Fantasy League, so as to keep the grim, survivalist atmosphere throughout the "proper" game untainted. |

" God is dead but people haven't still realized it Blowing up people's head in games is much "worse" in my opinion.. Interesting. Yes please don't listen to the rabid forumers I already find some of them overserious to death, their ideas would probably make the game EXTREMELY boring ...

" If you are willing to call us puritans then I guess you don't understand AT ALL why we're saying no. |

" I didn't call you puritanical, it was a throwaway comment about a few other points that were raised, such as the idea being sexist and certain groups of people being offended by it. Now, GGG may have an economic reason to avoid potentially offending some groups of people (assuming they are even considering something like this), but in principle, avoiding to do something because some people may just be offended (and are not actually being hurt in any way) is never a good strategy. Anyway, doesn't a specific league for silly costumes solve everybody's problems? Those who get offended don't need to enter, those who don't want anything detracting from the atmosphere of the 'real' game (which includes me) can avoid it, and those who would love to play POE not so seriously for a while (also includes me) can have it. |

" That's a good idea, I still prefer offering them to each league..it's hard to know before making your character that you'll spend IRL money for that stuff..but I guess you can always create a new character for the cause. I'm personally not going to buy cosmetics if they aren't radically different from the normal equips. That's why they shouldn't be entirely predictable and serious. I want my sunshades and business man outfit, while smashing monsters with my suitcase! Interesting. Hey, um... GGG can simply have these skins that "a specific audience" wants to go on sale but these specific skins would only be viewable to the player that bought it?
The other players who play with the dolled up character are happy. The player who bought the skin is happy. GGG gets teh moneh. Everyone is happy! ... right? From dusk to dawn they fall in my traps,
monsters all dying and taking dirt naps. At last I emerge with narry a scratch, scrounging the field for any small catch. A bauble? A jewel? A small golden ring? A unique item would make my heart sing! |

" It's better than nothing, but it wouldn't be as fun not being able to see everybody else's weird costumes. Fantasy league, GGG? |

What does this have to do with being puritanical?
I like sex. A lot. My personal issue with sexualization in games is that it's clearly asymmetrical. I have no problem with girls wearing slutty and unrealistic armor as long as the males do as well. It's not a matter of attraction, I'm a straight male, it's just a matter of taste and elegance. I'd rather not see one gender objectified while the other isn't. Take Street Fighter 4 for example. I have no issue with that game; the girls are sexualized to an extreme, but so are the guys! For each almost-exposed set of boobs and round asses there is a shirtless male with bulging muscles, I'm okay with that. However, most RPGs take the same armor set, and while it looks realistic and protective on a male, it turns into stripper gear for the girls. GGG have taken the realism road by portraying their characters like how real warriors would look, which is something I appreciate given the setting. Males are scarred, ugly and old, so why should females be sexy? Dernière édition par Falcord#4858, le 22 mai 2012 à 05:02:16
