POE end game : spending 10+ mins trying to buy a map

Idk... when i want to buy some maps then i get them pretty fast from other players. Its the same with gear... not always player who sells item will be online... mby he afk doing something else and u just need to deal with that. Actually if we are talking about maps then i get them pretty often... atm im doing t6-9maps and each map drop me like 3-4maps back... I have more maps that i can do. Today i think i will buy some extra stash tabs to put all maps and currency there...
Around 2k maps rotting in tabs because it takes too much time to sell. Dunno
How to fix trade system.

step 1)
List perfectly rolled Kaoms for 20c.

step 2)
/AFK I am not responsible for this stupid trade system, blame GGG.

step 3)
Leave PC for hours.

step 4)
ROFL all day long.

I would also like GGG to move all of my Standard stuff to SSF Standard, but they won't do it. Sadly.
I think my worst map buying experience was about 60 seconds at most to find someone that traded with me, and I buy maps frequent enough that I don't believe I'm some sort of statistical anomaly.

That being said, I use several of the methods mentioned here including going to the range of prices that I believe are not price fixers. I also don't find myself needing to buy maps that cost 1C or less because I'm a hoarder. My gut feeling is those maps are a pain to get.

There is one exception to my statement here and it has nothing to do with finding someone to trade with, but actually finding the strange unicorn that I was looking for (an Elder Shaped T9 map...any of them). It took like 4 hours to find that and when I did, the person traded with me instantly.

Not saying things are great; I've just not had that happen to any extreme like that.
Thanks for all the fish!

The reasons for this seem pretty obvious. I would think you would be thankful for them enforcing the SSF principles and not letting you.

As others already said, pay a bit more and you will find a motivated seller. If you insist on getting a "deal" then you are competing with numerous other people and have to accept the frustrating consequences.

Still easier to just keep pming without waiting seller answer - First one inviting you win - others need to deal with it. Sad but if you care about your time it's often the only solution left -

maybe this is the reason nobody is answering you. if i get a guy who whispers and always deny invite, welcome on ignore. you dont want to waste time on trading, so youre wasting the time of other ppl, nice dude.
Most of the time i get whispers as im running maps. sometimes im middle in a breach oder something like that so it takes some seconds to answer. but thats clearly way too much time for some buyers to wait. dont know if they believe im sitting on my stash tab the whole day waiting for their whispers.

Nope nope and nope.
Repeating it again, i'm not responsible of the trading system, and GGG won't ever accept any suggestions to improve it.

If you are available that's cool, if not it's not my concern and i'm sorry about it really, but that's the GGG design i just play it as they want us to play it that's their design.

Not anymore this kind and naive buyer willing to wait 30 sec after each message, this period is over since a long time, i value my time enough to spend it ingame and out of indexers the more i can, i don't see what's wrong with that. You will end to do the same thing at some point and notice by yourself how more efficient it is :)
Hf :)
Map trade is like a farmer stopping the harvester to trudge to the side of the road and sell a turnip.

Not sure if OP is still around...

But I have found one thing that helps with buying maps.

Don't use poe.trade.

Use currency.poe.trade and only whisper people who have >= 3 of the map you are looking for.

These guys are usually the ones that are trying to sell lower maps to buy chisels and other stuff. I typically would always get a response from these guys.

... or you could what I did and say fuck this noise and went to SSF lol. Bestiary is pretty good for SSF.

true, ggg is responsible for bad trading system, but youre responsible for your bad behaviour. whispering 10 ppl at the same time and ignoring the 9 who not answer in 2 seconds while crying about sellers who are not answering you. youre the worst, its just stupid
I actually quit playing for a week because I was super low on red maps and had none of the maps I needed to finish my atlas lol. Player interaction gives me AIDS
