POE end game : spending 10+ mins trying to buy a map

Do most people just disable the auto afk system or something? I regularly spend 10+ minutes trying to buy a map becuase almost nobody responds to whispers.

Even for maps that cost 15+ chaos they dont bother to reply. Not even a simple "hold on" or "im in lab/etc".

b/c atleast the 1st 10 maps listed have already sold before you can whisper the seller and 19 in 20 people cant be bothered to type "sold", they just ignore you

(the majority of the first listings are also fake for price fixing)

Here is the only solution i found so far.
Open poe.trade and search for the map you need.
PM all sellers without waiting them to answer, just keep pming and accept the first one that invite you.
Deny the other invite and run your map.

Some of them will probably send you bunch of insults and ignore you, and if you eventualy want to answer them just explain them you are not responsible of the Path of exile trading system, lot of them will actualy understand :)

( Also if you need more than one map don't hesitate to actualy start a social interaction with seller, asking him if he can furnish others maps ! )

Taking time out of play to trade is not worth it for many people... even people who list stuff reflexively. They don't think about it at the time they list it. Trying to buy one map isn't going to get someone to quit doing what they're doing. It's unrealistic to believe otherwise.

Normally a month into the league the economy is booming and you can get replies very quickly on poe.goods.

However this league is dead, thats not my opinion, its a hard fact. This isnt typical, its just a very, very unpopular league, the fact that exalted orbs are already like 98 chaos prove that.

You will see in a couple months the new league, at 30 days in, you will get replies right away all the way up to about 20 days left.

As others already said, pay a bit more and you will find a motivated seller. If you insist on getting a "deal" then you are competing with numerous other people and have to accept the frustrating consequences.
