Global chat always has racism, vulgar language, hate speech and harassment. Remove it from the game.

Sometimes jokes, despite being racist jokes, are funny.
I don't know what happened to the online culture, taking everything seriously, calling names on everybody and using toxicity on every online interaction under the pretense of anonymity.
I call that parenting failure, regardless if you are 10, 20, 30 or 50 years old.

Btw, does PoE have parent lock? Could be useful to be set up for those under age of reason, to restrict them global access completely :)


edit: i think there is some regulation in the U.S. or New Zealand that GGG has to apply by the customer support. So unless GGG is going to stop operating on these markets and move everything into international waters, i don't see any room for improvement, we can only support the support with our thoughts and prayers :)

And I think you should either a) grow a pair (highly unlikely) or b) use the available function of turning off the chat. Just because YOU don't like something doesn't mean that it shouldn't exist.

I just realized that the OP here is also the OP from the flat earth thread in off topic. When you're responding here you might want to keep in mind that he is either a troll or actually believes that so in either case logical arguments probably won't do you any good.

Yes, it's full of filth, toxicity and garbage, I keep it turned off pretty much 100% of the time, but if somebody fires up PoE and immediately stops playing due to global chat (without simply trying to turn it off), then maybe they shouldn't play online games to begin with.

People are awful to each other. On social media, on YouTube, right here on the forums. That sucks, but I fail to see why GGG should police this and try to protect players from the stupidity that is global chat. The option to turn it off is there for a reason. They don't have to completely disable it for everyone, just on the off chance that somebody might be so horribly offended, they'll uninstall and never come back.

I reserve the right to not care if I offend you or not.

That being said, Chat is a complete garbage fire, especially in Standard. Like, the worst.

But I defend people being the worst within the rules of the chat.

So grow a pair and get on with your life, or shut it off. Police your own youngun's from this and the rest of the shitty internet from your own home, not from your throne high atop your tower of outrage.
