Global chat always has racism, vulgar language, hate speech and harassment. Remove it from the game.

First of all I wanna say this isn't about me, so if you were thinking about telling me to stay out of global, don't worry, I do that already.

However, every single time I've been in global chat in the past one of the following things was guaranteed to be seen:

- Racist comments/jokes.
- Vulgar or extremely detailed sexual language.
- Hate speech/discriminatory language.
- Harassment/personal attacks.

One of the worst parts of global chat is that it might even seem like a normal conversation at times or like one you could engage in, but every time (no exceptions), it ends with one of the things I listed above.

I would guess the hundreds or thousands of new players forced into global chat by default when they make a new account very often get a negative experience in Path of Exile because of the content global chat always has in it. Global chat is ruining the gaming experience for MANY people who decide to try Path of Exile whether they realize it or not and it needs to go.

Without a global chat people can focus on playing the game itself and not engaging in hateful conversations in global chat. Obviously if global chat is removed there will be people who complain about it, but remember, the people who want a global chat will most often be the same people who usually use it and are involved in ruining the gaming experience for other players, especially new players in Path of Exile.

GGG, please remove it. It's disgusting, shouldn't be allowed in the game, and is most likely hurting sales and the number of people playing the game. It also steals tons of time from support, who have to deal with reports from global chat all the time. If you actually care about the experience players have with your game, you WILL remove global chat, no questions asked.

this is a ridiculous suggestion. Like, someone doesn't like what they are seeing, so their suggestion is to gouge out their eyes.

Official GGG stance is "It's okay to harass people as long as you don't swear". They've explained this to me in person when I made a similar topic. They have no interest in moderating it. Expect a lock and "We've forwarded it to the relevant people and will get back to you privately to talk about it". They won't.

Assuming that this isn't a troll, you can turn it off, grow up. I have been chat banned a couple times now, and I have seen others chat banned right in front of me. The channel is in fact moderated, snowflake.

Its just people mate, this is what people are like. You can wall yourself off in a bunker and never communicate with them, but you cant expect that to be a rule for everyone. There are a lot of people who just accept the inescapable reality of other people and chose to listen to and converse with the rest of the species anyway. Sometimes it rains, thats just part of going outside, take the rough with the smooth or lock your door and never leave the house. These arnt decisions that should be enforced, its up to everyone to make their own call on it.

We all went to school, we all know the deal, the playgrounds a freak show jungle. If large groups of human beings are still an enigma to anyone then take global chat as a long overdue life lesson.

Global chat isn't the only way to communicate with other people in Path of Exile.

Yes, but a ban always happens after the damage is done, thus what you wrote is not an argument against the OP.

That said, leave global chat in the game. If the new player experience is a problem, GGG can put new players in specific channels and moderate those better.

If you get triggered so much by this pls leave global and for fuck's sake stop it with the "will somebody please think of the children(new players)" bullshit.

They dont, its just words...

If you are too weak to deal with words, good luck in real life mate, you´ll get ripped apart even by the smallest issues.
