Global chat always has racism, vulgar language, hate speech and harassment. Remove it from the game.

You know that the regularly mute people that do what you describe right?

You also know that they have limited staff and that live monitoring of chat and all it's channels is not going to happen right?

You know that the support staff that do deal with the in game chat are mostly stuck dealing with reports (something you should be doing to all those "offensive" posts)

They probably should just disable chat other than guild chat and whispers, it would be a lot less costly.

I know they mute people, but most of the time all that's in chat is the bad things I described anyways.

It seems like the problem here is you. Maybe you're doing something to attract these personal attacks you're noticing because whenever I turn on global the vast majority of the time there are the one of the following things going on:
1. Random banter
2. Talk about the game
3. Spam

Theres the real world and then theres the world you want to live in. But ultimately you have to accept they exist, will always exist and find a way to be at peace with that, its not up to us to hide the reality of other people from other people.


I have heard ridiculous things in global chats, racism, sexism, nationalism, just flat out idiocy in just about every form it comes in. I know what hes talking about Ive seen it carrying on for hours unchecked by moderation, and I think thats kind of fine because its been countered by other people in the chat and anyone who doesnt want to be in that chat can switch channels or just turn it off.

One of the worst parts of global chat is that it might even seem like a normal conversation at times or like one you could engage in, but every time (no exceptions), it ends with one of the things I listed above.

I would guess the hundreds or thousands of new players forced into global chat by default when they make a new account very often get a negative experience in Path of Exile because of the content global chat always has in it. Global chat is ruining the gaming experience for MANY people who decide to try Path of Exile whether they realize it or not and it needs to go.

Without a global chat people can focus on playing the game itself and not engaging in hateful conversations in global chat. Obviously if global chat is removed there will be people who complain about it, but remember, the people who want a global chat will most often be the same people who usually use it and are involved in ruining the gaming experience for other players, especially new players in Path of Exile.

GGG, please remove it. It's disgusting, shouldn't be allowed in the game, and is most likely hurting sales and the number of people playing the game. It also steals tons of time from support, who have to deal with reports from global chat all the time. If you actually care about the experience players have with your game, you WILL remove global chat, no questions asked.

you mean to kill all the internacional channels, global 820 << all the sharing for trials and shit like that all the diferent channels for people to use


Also there is people that role play their games and if you real the lore of the game most of them arent that nice
