Having to purchase red maps, vaal & alch orbs
" With all due respect, I doubt that it's all of the hundreds of people bemoaning map drops that are all doing it wrong. Personally, I have built up my atlas the same was as I always do, I'm also chiseling, alch'ing, and even re-rolling with chaos. I know the theory of how to get a map to a high drop chance, but theory and results at the moment are two different things entirely. I allow that quite a large percentage of the players complaining about map drops might not know the best way to optimise their chances to get those drops, but by the same token, there's also quite a chunk that do. The sheer amount of people who are complaining is not merely a coincidence, and it's also something when the streamers have a grumble about it. I mean, if streamers with their "uncanny" rng luck have to moan about map drops, then you KNOW it's bad. I still think it's tied in with nets. It's entirely too much of a coincidence that nets are introduced as a mass drop, and then all of a sudden map drops and other drops take a nose dive. People can bury their heads in the sand all they want, that's their choice. I loved Path of Exile.
I do not love Path of RNG. Bloom gives me migraines, the over usage of darkness strains my eyes. Save our game, remove all of the constant RNG and allow us to turn off Bloom or give us an in game brightness control! |

As a new player ignorantly mapping on his first character, I agree. It feels terrible. I can’t seem to get maps over level 6 to drop consistantly, so it feels like I’m forever stuck running low level maps where my totems melt everything in less than a second. I can’t get to content that is my level. Oh, and there is no way I’m trading just so I can run content my level. I’d much rather quit than constantly feel like I’m trying to scrape together more chisels so another T9 map, where everything dies to easily, can fail to drop a T10. Or any map at all over T4. Again.

Same for me ...
Red maps are really poor drop rates. | |
Its a playtime thing, you have to put in enough hours to overcome that the map drop rate is like 1.1 maps per map.
I've got a fairly hefty pool now but i've also put so many more hours in this league than I usually do and in a more effective way (as playing SC so i just run any map regardless of mods). Don't give up you get there eventually guys but keep laying the complaints on as i still think its bad design, at the very least running extreme maps should be more consistently rewarding than it is. |

Hi, everybody. My opinion as the beginner in a game, but the skilled gamer (as you can see in my profile I play since March 6) Loss of cards and resources is balanced at good level, red cards for players it is a challenge both in respect of force and in respect of their production, as well as resources for their strengthening. By March 26, I already closed all 157 cards on the Atlas a week ago and used the services of the service, which completely shut down the content and kill uber elder. You can look at my profile. I have bought and unique red and yellow cards, all possible resources for their gain, at the same time my wealth grew with all these huge expenditures. I'm quite well-dressed and have a large number of different currencies. Do not forget that I am a beginner and I studied the game. In the next League, under the same conditions, I will do it even faster. Endgame content should not be easy in terms of passing and production. My opinion is that this is psychology, before getting any easier so people are not happy, it does not need to be a professional,

"I might. With RNG and nothing a guaranteed, it's possible, although most likely not probable. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

Meanwhile I "enjoy" my daily routine of chaos recipe:

It's very easy to sustain maps, or at least be able to run them, here's a very simplified formula for it.
If I don't have enough tier X maps, then run 20 tier X-2 maps, then run all the tier X-1 maps I have. (I'm under the assumption, people don't have many 1 tier lower maps, when they burn up their reserves, that's why it is good to do 2 tier lowers for a while). It's called building a map pool and is an ancient technique, if it makes someone feel better, then they can do a lot more of the 2 tier lower maps, in that case it will take a longer time to exhaust their wanted tier's maps, altho I won't care much if I fall back to lower tiers more often as I prefer to run a wide variety of maps. |

I don't mind that you have to alch, chisel, vaal, zana mod, etc to sustain high maps...
Fine... My problem is that there is no "reliable" vaal orb recipe to make it not a complete nightmare. (SSFBTW). Trade league got soooo boring just trading all of the time. I'm unlocking T12s now. Oddly I have the maps but no vaal orbs at all. So i have to chain run uber lab, atziri, and low tier maps to get more vaal orbs. Vaal orb is the #1 commodity for me in SSF. But on the bright side my second character will be a pretty boss deadeye wander.

If you want vaal orbs I can recommend chaining Vaal pyramid, the divcard drops frequently enough, similarly if u have vaults of atziri, you will get at least 6 divcard out of it on avg which is a vaal orb. (the Catalyst obviously, Inventor is kinda rare)
