Why Im quiting PoE until SSF gets better drops

If you examine my stable of level 85+ Standard characters, you'll find a variety of original melee builds using a broad assortment of build-enabling Uniques. Some are Legacy, some cost as much as 8 Exalts, but virtually all of them were acquired through trading. The only Tier-1 Uniques that have dropped for me were Soul Taker and Belly of the Beast. The commonly available Uniques came mostly from my Guild's stash. The rest came from grinding yellow and low-level red maps.

My builds all have around 4.5-5K HP, though one is a hybrid with 2.5K ES. None have more than about 50K tooltip DPS, most less than 20K. They all routinely solo level 12+ maps, but Chiseled & Alc'ed yellow maps yield faster XP and gobs of loot. None of my builds have ever seen Uber Izaro, Atziri, the Council, the Guardians, or the Shaper. While those battles are no doubt exciting, they're IMO stat-inflated pseudo-PvP cage fights spoiled by cheesy one-shot gimmicks and OP boss immunities. I'd much rather tank the hordes with underpowered but tough and versatile brawlers that rely on tactical skill to survive, rather than faceroll the game with crackhead clearspeed exploits. When you lack that kind of firepower, a robust defensive strategy requires just about every damage mitigation trick you can pack into a build.

But that's just me and my reactionary anti-Meta obstinance. If your game is all about those Tier-1 trophies and endgame bosses, I'm afraid SSF is just not meant for you.

Thank you for this. If you want to play something that's suboptimal, that's entirely fine. Nobody's going to fault you for playing what you enjoy, even if you can't do the late-game craziness because if we're being fair the late-game does get pretty cheap and not every build will be able to hack it since what counts as a one-shot largely comes down to how much EHP and reduction you have. I love my Doomfletch archer but she's so incredibly fragile that even yellow mobs have a chance of one-shotting her if I'm not careful.

That said, if you do want to play something that is not optimized for the current gameplay, and you do like playing something that can't handle the endgame, and you know that, don't complain about it. That's why the OP is getting so much flak, I think - He's playing in a very suboptimal way, refuses to admit to it, and is complaining that he can't do things like the optimized players do. He's claiming the problem is everything except his own gameplay when that is, by evidence presented, the biggest problem.

There is no evidence since you can play how many hours you want with yours chars. I can create a marauder and play with it for years so, whats the importance of how many hours have I played with this marauder? None.

You guys, you just say that is my fault and bla bla bla but ALL of you do the same as I, get one shot killed, complain about garbage uniques and expensive prices. You guys just dont have the balls to post all this on the forum, then come here to say "NAH! HE DID THIS WRONG!!"
