Alkaiser's death - Rank 3 RIP
" There's absolutely no way in seeing those molten strike balls hitting him, maybe 1 actually hit him and everything is cluttered with shit effects there so you have to pause and rewatch the video a couple of time to see the other balls and even then you realize that their coverage is absolute bullshit, they landed 3 centimeters (on the screen) from him and yet still hit him. All that happened in under 1 second. And now you're trying to look smart by analyzing the death video. Truly pathetic. But what else to expect from a forum dweller that writes his nickname on the bottom of his posts for years even though we can clearly see you nickname on the side. Seeing that Snorkle jester acting all smart again too... The same guy that said all trash skills are boring (and not bad) and that's why they aren't being played. Living in the PoE forum is evidently bad for you guys, consider a change. Enough with the hipster embarrassment. |

" Your dog died last week or something because you are going around the forum talking shit like a 12 years old. Take a chill pill. Why people have to analyze RIP videos. To try to understand such mechanic better and not get fucking rekt the next time they encounter it. Unless you are such a good player already that understands all those mechanics and plays perfectly all the time. I know you are upset about melee and life based builds being inferior in PoE but taking it personal with about everybody is pretty low. My builds:

" It's not really about the skill with that guy, it's about the knowledge. If you know that Molten strike redistributes its projectiles so that they avoid obstacles, you will avoid cramped spaces with this boss around. He also has two molten strikes, the big one with 20 projectiles and a normal one. The big one has a long cooldown so you just wait until he uses it and then go in with your scrubby melee and give him a few dozens of whacks on the kisser, dependent on attack speed. What the man did wrong? The usual, he went too fast and didn't check what spawned. " It's true, but let's get real - this game is about mindless repetivive actions, a.k.a. zombie farm. It's designed like that, and it's illusionary that anyone plays strategically paying attention focused at his full capacity. It's physically impossible for the player. Game is also cluttered with visual effects restricting any hope of clear vision, and the mob density is too high. Thus, the encounters should be balanced accordingly, to match the game design. If we take for ex. DS series, the design is on te contrary - less density, but more dangerous encounters which require clear look over the mechanics, prediction, acting in advance, learning on the go, fast reactions. And the damage dealt to the player is more flat and predictable, but not fluctuating the way it does in PoE. But it's a different game, different design. Alkaizer's death is not his fault, it's a result of poor balancing combined with too many unpredictable variables. It's related to the game design. This is a buff © 2016

" It has nothing to do with damage mod on the map, no. :v Ples Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. | |
" This^^ run too fast, meh on the map mods ... and got what deserverd. |

" Aye, that's why I said it's per usual, the man did nothing wrong. He played the game the way it is expected of him, how else are they supposed to kill something that recovers health in an instant and can vanish at will if he notices things going south? Simple, you prevent him form noticing, this way or the other. Don't like it much either but it was one of their core design decisions, you either like it, stand it or leave it. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" I said playing 0 aoe namelock melee without melee splash as your only skill was boring. Obviously that concept was too complex for your brain to compute thats why you are vastly misquoting me, failed completely to understand my point in the thread, still talking nonsense. Learning to understand English might actually help you have conversations on the forums mate. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" This is super easy sample of a lategame map, compared to what kind of maps he's supposed to successfully run at his level. He died to a damage burst by a poorly designed and imbalanced encounter, but not to the actually easy map mod. By this logic literally any mod could be used as an apology to justify his death. Is he supposed to run white maps? And most important - is the game balanced around white maps only? Is it properly balanced in general? A part of the job of the balance team is to adjust the power of the mobs to the moddable damage multipliers one will face while playing. When a well fed high lvl char dies in an instant to a non-exclusive encounter in an easy map, I know who did it wrong.
