Hard and soft caps on stats
" Have to agree with Goetz on this one. A) Fundamentally and globally changing the system so arbitrarily is never healthy for a game. B) Who says a crit has to "feel" any certain way? For many of us it is just another damage stat--not a roleplay stat--so if you got 95% crit somehow, you sacrificed other parts of your build, and your base damage is likely significantly lower than with an alternative build, which you try to make up for with crit multiplier. It's all a balancing act of opportunity costs. Attaching some random notion about what it's "supposed to mean" is foolish, and has no place in a balance discussion. Tired of trolls? Ignore them.
