EXP penalty from death idea
" OK, I'm all for some recovery mechanic for lost exp, but this is like having no death penalty at all. You gain 100% of the exp back, and it's a guaranteed result. What's the point of even losing the exp at all? This is like having no death penalty. There has to be something for you to strive for, otherwise the effective death penalty is (lost_exp - recovery_adjustment), which in your example is zero. |

How about "Orb of XXXX" as a new currency?
If you have one and click "use orb xx" at revive screen, you wont lose xp. Or 1 free death a day |

Suggestion:
When you die and are on more than 10% exp, the exp you lost is transfered to a Ghost Rogue-exile version of yourself that can spawn in hardcore, in the same zone you died in. If a hardcore player kills your ghost, they get your exp. If your ghost kills the hardcore player, then your build is proven to be worthy, and you get the exp back. (If the HC player doesn't fight your ghost, it keeps spawning for other players until someone kills it, or it gets a kill. Your ghost is also adjusted in power for the level of the zone.) "because if my exp pool is small like for example only hold 3 death worth of exp. Anything additional death b4 the player regain back = a real loss of exp. Glass cannon is more likely to die b4 they gain back the exp. If u are tanky, hardly die or death due to lag spike, you re not going to affected by much since u hardly die, you are likely to regain back b4 you die. So it is a no issue here. My suggestion are actually punishing glass cannon. The point is to have people actually doing risky boss kill using lvling character instead of quitting/or doing it at 0%.
