Pros and cons of a casual POE
" The only real difference is in how long it takes to do all the content. Everything can be done solo, so even a casual player can eventually get to level 100 or do Über Atziri, but it will take them substantially longer. This is a notable difference to MMOs where the highest level content requires a determined group of players. | |

I think the game is fine. I really love it.

There is no agreement as to what hard-core actually means, so yes, you're right. But that wasn't the point here...

PoE have some (terrible) problems: lags-desyncs-etc – the issues that TS asks not to write about.
I think that one of problems is that much of the effects is not so cute 'cause the cam position. They looks good in tech.previews at YT, but not so noticeable inside the game. I mean that there is a much matters to work with. But regarding "too hardcore" and casualisation ideas – it's stupid as hell. You told about "market" – so you have to know what mean "target audience". Right? The zest of PoE is "old school" things, such as exploring, variations and so on. Not todays "click here to get this and win instantly". Some kind of peoples don't need to (and don't want to) get chewed food poured to ther mouth and followed with Adam's apple hitting for swallowing reflex activation. Some kind of people like do something by themselves. I know, it's sounds strange but it is. We have MUCH stupid and casual games at the market. PoE isn't one of it. And it's damn good, I believe. p.s. Sorry for my poor English. It's all 'cause the morning ) The darker the eye, the more diligent the watched. Instead of creating a separate game I would just change the standard league into a "casual league". There are already plenty of lvl 100's. The race has been long over. I would remove the death penalty and double quantity and rarity. This provides a place for people to experiment and learn the game. In the permanent hardcore and tempory leagues instead of flat quantity and rarity bonuses throughout I would make it say 3 times for bosses only, scaling up as you progress. 3 times in normal and cruel. 4 times in merc. And 5 times in maps. But again for bosses only. That way "hardcore" players are equally rewarded but still get the satisfaction of having to work for it. I would even suggest balancing it around specific bosses. I think everyone would agree the weaver is much harder than the vaal over soul for instance and should give greater reward.

" Please never do this. There are actually people who play standard who enjoy the difficulty but can't no-life like people in leagues. Some of us compete with our own set of challenges, and not some ladder that pits you against the person sitting In their moms basement screaming "Mom! Cheesy Puffs! Mom! Bed pan!" While completing their billionth run of the docks. Leagues offer nothing to me with my limited playtime. Standard should not be changed to the playground of people who need the reset button hit every few weeks to maintain their limited attention span. And for those who think you are competing with the no lifer on the ladder without no lifing yourself, I have bad news for you:) Thanks for all the fish!
