Basic horror/gore will rarely get out of the R16 rating system. Also the fluffy Kiwi's balance it out.

As others have stated, the names/phrases we moderate against are more for being racist/hateful/derogatory rather than vulgar. It is a mature game, but nobody should have to sit through unmoderated racism or hate speech, it creates a really negative environment.

You are talking shit mate, i got banned for the name "pornography" if that is any shape or form racism, hate speech or anything then every word is. As op stated you guys hold standards of a kindergarten in a very religious area when it comes to character names.

The difference between adults and children is not the language they use. In fact, children are often more offensive than adults. Is swearing and vulgarity often childish? Yes.

Is it even more childish to get your feelings hurt about it? Definitely.

This is the distinction I'm trying to draw.

So when you say "for adults" doesn't mean "for twats" you're actually dead wrong. If you get offended by someone being a "twat," you're actually more childish than the twat.

Even as an adult, it is impossible to always know what will offend someone else, but on the flipside, it is always possible to choose not to be offended by it, especially when you have an ignore function.

GGG does a good job with their policies and the support always feels informed. Really, they are giving AAA+ support as an indie developer. There are big publishers out there which won't even grant this basic support discussed here to its players. I am glad GGG chooses to establish an ordered community interaction. If you want to discuss politics or other players, you can take it to your own channels.
