Kripps Discharge build not as OP as ppl make it out to be?

I ran away from the power charge build after I realized that I would have to use a chest with crappy es (the voll's) for the rest of the game, and I was planning on going CI.

I've found burning to be way more consistent damage wise, and the charges easier to get.

I also self found this at ilvl 60, and I'm gonna use it once I can 6s/5+ link it.

Here is my chest that runs my discharge atm:

I just found this wand, and will use it for a while:

I've been trying Kripp's discharge build, and all I can say is...

I am dying.

A LOT.
i too fas fo youuuuuuu

Everyone worship the church of Kripp.
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.
I'm getting bored with discharge at lvl 57. The problem is there is no questioning its viability. I've done enough maps to already know what this characters downfall is going to be until CI (other than the fact life based blows in comparison right now).

I just find it funny how many people want to say how bad kripp is or his builds are like they have come up with something superior. Here is a hint to those of you. No, you haven't made better builds than the top players. No, you wont make a build better than the top players. No, odds are you aren't one of the top players. And hating on someone just because they are popular and you aren't makes you a sad individual. Builds have very little to do with the skill tree and everything to do with gem combination. If you are going life based you are finding the best way to get as many HP nodes as possible with some key damage passives sprinkled in along the way. If you are ES you are doing the same thing except you are finding the most efficient ways to certain key passives while still being able to pick up a few damage passives along the way. That's all it is. Telling yourself otherwise is just lieing to yourself. Go look up other peoples builds. The passive trees are all extremely similar.

The biggest thing I find myself doing when I try ANYONES builds is changing what I feel needs to be changed to make the build fit my playstyle. Usually I drop some dps and go alittle out of my way for even more survivability. I'm not the most accurate person with a mouse. I've done this for Kripps builds, Invelescos builds, Rhox's builds, and many, many others. I always try builds on my own but 9/10 times I feel like I'm missing something and that's when I head to look up some info on similar builds. 9/10 times its not my passives its the gems I choose to use.

PS. This thread has more than enough merit to earn real answers instead of the troll "Boo Kripp" responses. Its asking about the viability of 2 different (yet same) builds regardless of the name the OP chose to throw in there. To that OP I say I chose burning discharge because its a cheaper build to accomplish. The price of both volls in anarchy is just dumb right now. I picked up a nice ST for a couple chaos since it is never going to be capable of 6l. Instead of spending a stupid amount of currency on 2 volls. As to not being frozen? That's what flasks are for, saving me even more currency. Not as efficient but works for a poor mans build and the comments about it not having much survivability because you will wont have kripps gear are from people who have no damn clue what they are talking about. I suck at the game yet haven't come close to dieing in merc with this life based build where as I've had difficulties with others. With both discharge builds you don't really need to get all that close.

Can someone post a passive tree of a burning endurance discharge build? I am trying to go discharge and would really prefer the burning DoT over the instant hits of power charges, but I do not know how to work my passives. I also need tips on the type of gear.

Level 87 version.

If you want conduit, there's a slight respec at 90.

Gear for now, but still a WiP, self found and a bit low on ES until I get some luck in the crafting department. But the basics are there. Weapon swap 5L is a stand in while try to 6L another (but 5L is OK).

Spoiler

Edit, really requires Alpha's Howl for auras.
Right now, to play this guy I need to spec into reduced cost then out after applying auras. Gets a bit expensive. Hoping to find an AH.

Also note, with an AH, you can swap aura gems to helm in order to keep +2 to them after using AH to apply them, but it requires your 3 aura slots match with your hubris perfectly.

Casually casual.

i really hope that all those swapping exploiting uniques will get fixed in the future at least thats what they told the community few month ago

aura should be disabled the moment you take the gem out that would fix everything

I like his build. I don't play it tho, I just like that he uses The Searing Touch which I can now sell for 12++ Chaos orbs. Before I only got like 2-4chaos.

Thank you

p.s. a hint what next build will be? I'd like to stack on those items :P

Yeah well, I agree it probably should be addressed, in most if not all its variants.
Funny thing is, people will jump on the AH keeping +2 thing as if it is something new with AH.
It has always been possible with Geofri's Crest, but only +1.

That little addition, though, requires a lot of investment and is pretty near impossible for certain permutations. They might well look at it as a currency sink and a pay off for all the shit you need to do to get it to work. /shrug.

I get 5 chance orbs for them (when paired with a rare, magic and white) from Hagan.
I get a kick out of that.
