Kripps Discharge build not as OP as ppl make it out to be?
Interesting stuff going on kripp's stream, seems that overkill damage is reflected with a modifier, but life leech from overkill damage seems as it's not working...
„I don't give a fuck if it was his tenth anniversary with his goddamn neckbeard...“
„If they think I'm going to let them sweep this pizza guy thing under the rug...“ No mod action. Business as usual. |

" I never really thought about that -- let's say a mob has 100 hp, and you roll 200 dam. you rolled the 200, but are you really doing 200, or just 100 for purposes of life leech? how can you leech more life than the mob had? |

Krip is using endurance because he want to use that burning staff thingy, the other charges require wand or bow and don't give you any defence before you explode them.

" But you're mad about people watching a streamer that they find entertaining, then attempting to discuss they builds that they see, in the forums of the same game of which said streamer plays. All I'm saying is take a step back and question if you really need to be mad about something that really has no impact on you at all. Just think about it man. Whether Kripp is popular or not in POE is irrelevant, and frankly I don't really care. I was just asking about how a build (one that he happened to make popular), compares to other similar builds. More specifically, how the burning endurance discharge build compares to other discharge builds like the power charge crit build.
Based on some responses, it seems logical to go for a higher burst dmg build (power charge build) in standard league. I feel the endurance charge build is probably better for hardcore/onslaught, due to it being safer. Mephixara // Lvl 91 Phys Tornado Ranger

well, bear in mind that while you might get higher burst with pc, you get +133% dam from the 4 sec burn after endcharge.
this is before mods -- with the staff and a few templar burn nodes you'd be stacking an easy +130% on top of that without even thinking about other passives or gear, so you end up with triple your initial burst on the burning dam, and this is dam you don't have to worry about reflect on. |

" Burning to finish the mob. Burning DOT is very strong. I used it to kill off bosses with my discharge. I personally do not recommend discharge for HC. The margin for error is too small for the build. If you're going to use enduring cry make sure you have a lot of defense. Enduring cry aggro everything it touch. That means flicker mobs will swarm over you in a heart beat. Here me doing Ship Graveyard and Ship Graveyard Cave, +6 and +9 above my witch. My teammate died and they were 10+ level above me. It was 24/7 job to keep them alive. http://youtu.be/SCxv7X_YDDc http://youtu.be/02Qa_YgJ-dQ Here Dock +9 level above my Discharge Witch. Burning DoT helped a lot. http://youtu.be/FXZtctPx0rs http://youtu.be/WABpakNBk1U http://youtu.be/nb5NmPfqun4 IIRC I beat Act 3 around lvl 55 but with help against Piety. I think I did the finishing blow via burning damage. |

" Keep in mind once you discharge your defense will suffer. If you can't kill them with one discharge, well start running in circle. Krip discharge is low yield, low defense, and with enduring cry make it a bad combination. Also mob with fire/elemental resist will screw the build up. If I had to do it over again I would have gone with dual curses at start. I figure flammability + Fire Penetration was enough to knock their resistant to manageable level in Merciless but that wasn't the case. |

" All my builds are made to fight at least +5 level above me and in mass. Anything less is boring. The mob was +9 lvl above me and all of them have fire resist. Flammability + fire penetration (molten shell) wasn't enough to one shot them as you can see. I was running 8 endurance charges. At that point I was thinking of respecing to dual curses but decided otherwise. I was about to finish Act 3 and retire the build at lvl 55.
