One thing that everyone needs to bare in mind before any bashing is that much of it is in response to the D3 community and the attitudes that are brought over.

We, however, are not angels, nor are we innocent of the same. You will have this attitude in any gaming community. Gamers are passionate about their favors, and always have been.

As far as people who bought D3 and played for a few hours, however, this is a general assumption that shows nothing more than the same knee jerk reaction that was complained about in the first place.

I play D3 on a daily basis. And have done so since it's release. I have also purchased D3 for 3 members of my family.

The difference is that we continue to play for no other reason that ensuring it was not a waste of money on my part.

That said, I have never bashed any D3 fan either. But that is not to say that I do not bite my tongue regularly.

Back on topic, any kind of positive exposure for PoE is great for GGG. I honestly prefer the smaller numbers we have within closed beta.

However, to ensure the future of PoE and GGG's journey, any and all positive measures at gaining a wider player base is needed.

I am glad to see some of the big name gamer's taking the time to give us a try, and even more pleased to see GGG extending their attention to it as well.

It is nothing more than just another reason why we have all grown to love GGG and their personal take on the community that you would usually not get outside of a private game server with much smaller numbers.

I watched the stream this morning before I left for work for like 20 minutes and I was like who is this kid asking all these dumb questions?

That's pretty cool. I used several of his guides for my D3 Barbarian (Act 3 Inferno). Kripparrian's a quality player, and good guy.

I had a quick glance at the stream, was pretty confused as to who was talking most of the time.

It was VERY fascinating to watch someone accustomed to Diablo 3 adapt to Path of Exile's mechanics, but before long I remembered how boring watching someone play is compared to actually playing.

Which is why the 3.3k viewers sort of baffled me on a stress test weekend, but hey. Lotta voyeurs and fence-sitters out there. LOTS of questions in the chat for the stream, too -- I tried answering some but they were swallowed by the sheer bulk of text.

Any way you slice it, this was a good thing for PoE and for Chris, who carried himself with his trademark humility and congeniality.

hes a youtube celebrity amongst the D3 community. I believe he was the first to beat Hardcore if my memory serves. Hes got a lot of fanboys that hang on his every word.

Kripparian is a decent guy and talks a lot of sense.

I had been off ToG for a week when I saw his post about letting D3 'sit' - I reckon Tog lost about 20% of its player base the next day.

I hope he brings positive things to PoE and makes some great guides and achieves impressive things.

Kripparian is a very un-decent "guy", but he's an amazing gamer.

The discussion with Chris last night was very valuable, it answered a lot of viewers questions and Chris said that in the time that he was talking he had 200 new sign ups!

It's good to see so much attention on this game this weekend, hopefully a fair few of them buy supporter packs!
