Kripparrian is playing poe!!!!
" So true. The dude makes a post (and I wasn't expecting that) and people still rag on him. Uncool. As for the alt-f4 thing, I asked Chris about it -- his response was not surprising and did not include the words 'OH NO WE TOTALLY DON'T CONDONE THAT.' But they did include the words 'may fix', so hey. I agree, though: until you can present me with a zero lag, zero bug game, things like alt-f4 and /stuck are completely necessary, although not to be abused. And it's very clear to me that if this is the FIRST time Kripparrian's used it, then he's not abusing it at all. And they said *I* was bad at PoE. At least I made it out of act 1 and know how to use the /dnd function. El oh fucking el.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |

Sorry, but there's a clear difference between using it to leave the game due to desync/rubberbanding and when you make a mistake and are about to die. His was the latter. He abused it.
It's HC mode. |

" I kinda hate to chime in here but what exactly did everyone expect? So the dude made a post? All of a sudden the issues that have been discussed are supposed to be dropped when he decides to chime in? Also, regarding the hc chat: It feels more like barrens chat then PoE now. Luckily I have not maxed out my ignore list yet. As to the alt f4 deal. Anyone who played D3 knows that he is going to use any means available to him . No suprizes there. On the plus side it publicizes those little loopholes so the devs become aware of them in a more timely fashion. |

" I highly doubt that. |

" It's a bit odd when you're new to the stream, but then it's quite apparent that Kripps actually has charisma that comes with being confident, doing what he loves to do, and not taking all the bullcrap posted in here at heart. Good for him. " Fixed for you. I can't help but notice that some of the haters are streamers.... yeahhh. You jellous bro? I'm really enjoying his stream. Yours, not so much. " Says the dude who plays the easiest DPS class in Default league and has no hardcore character... yeahhh. :/ Save & Exit was bread and butter for Hardcore in Diablo II. Why is it so hard for people to see the difference between something that's out there, and something that's made up in your mind? Rules about whether I can exit game or should "man up", whether a situation is deemed "safe enough" that exiting game now is "allowed", it's all made up in your mind. Actually watching Kripp made me reconsider playing GW2. It's quite refreshing to see that he's going to play it even though he's not fully convinced by the PvP. He sets himeself a goal with a guild and world events. He looks at the good parts and focuses on that. " Yes it is, it's pretty sad really, it makes me want to stop participating in here altogether, and just move on to Guild Wars 2. That's one advanatge of mass audience games like that, there's not much room for the "protecting my little turf" mentality. " Because there are more people into PoE than ever? And you deem necessary to lump the bad apples in "Kripp's crowd"? The chat in Normal during open weekend was pretty horrible long before Kripp's PoE streams started. |

I don't understand all the hate for Kripparrian. He seems like he is a decent enough fellow ( granted I've only known of him for the past few weeks, but I've watched his stream often enough ). He is very open about how he plays, and the decisions he makes. If you don't like his reasoning, there really is no need to pout about it. You are both playing the same game, and it's not like he is hiding anything from you.
I do admit there is good and bad folks brought over from his large fan base, but that is just the nature of having more people show up. For every awesome contributor, there will be a troll or miscreant. So much hate. If you have a problem with how someone plays the game, maybe make a suggestion thread stating your case and suggesting a fix for how to make things better. It's not like GGG is bad about listening to its audience. "I would have listened... I would have understood!" - Scion
Have you removed Asus ROG/GameFirst yet? |

" I think you're overstating that opinion there with the little jab. It isn't about elitism or turf. The issue is about socially immature people coming into a game meant for mature people. It isn't even a topic I'm going to bother discussing because I'm powerless to change an unfortunate side effect of anonymity on the internet. I just wanted to clear up what the real problem is. Most of the frustration vented on the issue is because they are powerless to change this unfortunate social disturbance. A little less trolling. I doubt that you're sad over the issue and more enthusiastic to get out your little jabs to stir the pot. Edited for clarity and fixing quote blocks. krip is bringing publicity and players to this game, which is what a fledging company like GGG with little marketing resources desperately needs.
Sad to see a diamond supporter hating him and wanting him to leave this game, for no good reason at all. But then again, thank god the moderator and GGG have got more common sense :) |
