Does anyone else feel PoE 2 is way too sweaty?

The Temple reinforces the sweaty design. It's WAY better for streamers and the unemployed no-lifers, because they can spend the 20 hours it takes to setup their temple to perfection while ordinary people with jobs really can't.

" True but not every league mechanic needs to be for everyone, especially in early access. I mean so far the league mechanics in this game have been absolutely boring ports of stuff from POE 1. Breach, ritual, delirium, and abyss all amount to "stand here and kill monsters" or "run around and kill monsters" and thats it. Thats the whole mechanic. Ultimatum could be good except you cant juice it so the temple master is like "HAHA YOU PUNY MORTAL, TRY AND SURVIVE THIS!" and then you stand around for 3 minutes while 4 white mobs at a time spawn. Sekhema is actually good, but its not for everyone. However like Temple its a mini game that rewards player knowledge exponentially, the more you know the better it gets and the more you play it, it creates a feedback loop of reinforcing itself. These are both great mechanics but they are also the ones people like the least for some reason, even though they are real mechanics and not just "stand in a circle and kill monsters" which is braindead. That being said, what would a good mechanic look like for you? Dernière édition par Waitn4D4#0477, le 7 janv. 2026 à 19:25:54

I would agree that every league mechanic is not suited for every persons playstyle, some builds will be better for some over others
When I first played game I f**king hated trial of sekhemas I despised it, I was in that community begging for them to remove that shit or nerf xD (also yes this isn't pinnacle content but just chiming in) Then I played some more refined my build and now I have no problem with it, Just with Zarokh because how tf am I suppost to know what to do the first time I've ever faced him, his last phase killed me had no idea what to do didnt click in my head I had to run to each spot on ground for a good 2-3 secs and by then it was too late All the pinnacle content is good, but not "needed" persay, some players will have better luck in some versus others, theres some players who will find certain pinnacle content to be alot easier then other players, vice versa Abyss's though, have ran maybe 25 maps and still not a single abyss, no tablet, They need to either gurantee a way to have this shit spawn in the first few maps so players can try it all out, still hunting abyss and delirium to get first 2 points in that pinnacle tree :/ |

" I like the Temple for the most part outside of how RNG it is and various UX issues (no explanations for anything, no reset button, no confirm/undo for room placement, etc.). I just think it requires way too much time and the amount of loot it generates eclipses everything else by far too much. |
|
" Yeah I agree with all that. Needed better tooltips, needed an undo button, needs a bit less RNG or a bigger medallion storage. And 100% loot is getting nerfed by next league. I actually think another loot nerf is forthcoming because all the servers are cooked tonight and I guarantee its because people rebuilt their temples with the changed room values and they are still dropping so much loot its cooking the game. Its far worse than it was the last few days and its feeling like it did on Friday when they nerfed it the first time... |

" Dude.. you are clearly missing the point entirely. It's so blatantly obvious that you have a LOT of time to think about or play games. That's cool dude. There's a lot of people who have other responsibilities but still want to enjoy this game when they have time. What are you even vouching for anyway.. You seem to both hate PoE and anybody who plays it? Thinly veiled condescension is still hateful energy. Anyways.. thank you to anyone who shared genuine comments. |

" I think that was true in 0.2. I made a post here saying there was no ebb and flow. Every monster felt like a 10/10 at all times, so running maps was exhausting. In 0.3 and 0.4, at least for me, it's felt as though I could enjoy watching monsters die, and only lock in for rares and the harder bosses. If you're still feeling under constant stress, maybe you're running more mods (I almost always just alch-and-go T15s, so 3 mods, 2 tablets). I almost never run maps with 0 revives, even though I don't die much, because it adds stress and I enjoy the map less. Maybe that makes me a casual or a wimp; if so, I'm fine with that. The temple also feels good to me, because it's broken up by room. So I can fight, then relax, then fight again. 0.4 SSF: Thunderstorm and Minions, work in progress: https://poe.ninja/poe2/profile/DistributedAutomaton-5739/character/CrystalController

Yeah, for me the contrast is the wild part.
Most of the campaign is basically a scenic walk with a couple "surprise, you're dead" bosses sprinkled in. Then you hit stuff like "Suckhamas" and suddenly it's a full "journey to Mount Doom" situation where one mistake (or one unclear mechanic) nukes your run. That whiplash isn't "challenging endgame", it's just uneven. Same thing with Atlas passives. Some are laughably easy, others feel like they were balanced for a different game. Simulacrum is a great example. I had to do level 3 something like 10-15 times before I finally finished it. Not because I'm clueless, but because the rooms are narrow, movement options get choked off, and then you eat a random one-shot in the middle of a horde with zero time to react. Meanwhile other passives I finished first try without even thinking about it. That isn't a difficulty curve, it's a difficulty lottery. "Pineapple bosses" are mostly fine too, honestly. The annoying part is the "grind for the right items just to enter the area" loop, which feels like busywork stapled onto the front of the actual fight. I get that endgame should be hard. I'm not asking for everything to be a loot pinata. But if one side of the game is "walk in the park" and the other side is "survive a blender", something's off. I'd love to see GGG either re-think player defenses, or shift monster design away from random one-shots. Make enemies hit weaker but have more HP, so deaths come from getting outplayed, not from catching a single invisible raffle ticket to the face. |

" It'll be so much nicer when there's just an admission that all it's ever going to be is copies and pastes from POE1, so that people like this will finally shut up about "it's early access" for a game they paid for over a year ago. | |
