Major Endgame Changes in Patch 0.3.1 for Path of Exile 2

So the best move for POE 2 is just to become even more like POE 1? I know the towers were awful but this game is now almost a 1 for 1 copy of POE 1.

I can't see how in just 2 cycles this game is going to worth any ones time, it's not going to be finished. It's going to launch in this awful state with day 1 bugs STILL baked into it. Calling this a second game is kind of rip off at this point.

It is nothing but poorly cobbled together parts of the first game with a shiny and poorly optimized coat of paint. Every build is the same, every bloated item pool is the same, every legendary is the friggin same. There is zero creative juice flowing into this game it's all knee jerk reactions and copy paste from the previous game. Nothing said in January is coming true, the game feels worse and worse every update. I don't know I feel stupid for buying into the hype to be left with such mess of a game.
So will The Grand Project still be useable within towers? as it has no effect in terms of buffing but lets you skip
For me personally: Unique Tablets should only be useable on Towers. That way you still have a huge "lead" with Grand Project and lets say you want to Deli Tablet every Map, so use Unique Deli Tablet on your Tower, if you like to do so.

Hopefully you are removing the mini-map icons for rare monsters with these changes.
This is just basically sextants / scarabs from PoE 1. Why is this a major changes when they already had it in PoE 1 !?
GGG Please change the towers slightly to have a bit more value. Remove the Grand Project tablet as it makes no sense now and instead make running towers by default work like a Grand Project. So running a tower now makes it allow you to access anything in its range. This would give us more incentive to run the tower if we are chasing citadels or deadly map bosses.

Im disappointed. Not just with this update but with whole update history of PoE 2 and no longer believe you can deliver a different game.

When PoE 2 will start getting new stuff? And by "new" i mean not recycled crap from PoE 1.

You are almost at the point of having two same games, devtime spent well...

Stop dying or don't do 6 mods maps? you do 6 mods maps when you can survive through, otherwise you never do 6 mods maps.


still might more sense for portals to scale up with difficulty not down

white map = 1 portal
blue map = 2 portals
yellow map = 3 portals

not sure all this scaling with amount of mods makes sense anyway. A 6 Mod map can be easier than a 4 mod map.

the downscaling of monster amount or "wanting to make each map faster" is not positive imo. You want maps with lots of monsters, not fewer...

The Alchemy Orb change is also a dud in my opinion. Might as well just remove Alchemy Orbs if they are basically just a Regal+Exalt.


They're not, since they can still be used on normal items. Also from my understanding, even if you use it on a magic item, you still roll 4 randoms modifiers, you don't keep the existing modifiers from your magic item.
