Can we haggle and whisper with the new asynchronous trade window?

This behaviour wouldn't change if u could haggle with the new system. It's still the same overabundance of items. Everyone in low and mid tier would just insta buy instead of haggle.

The more I read this thread the more empathic I'm feeling for players who are annoyed by the unsolicited whispers. The system would need to be clearer for the buyer. Would actually make sense to just save the opt-in haggles for high end multi div trades, so the cheap trades could be smooth as a butter.

Unless u're talking about an automated haggling system? Like the seller could set a hidden "minimum" price he would sell the item for and the customer would have to place their offer. If it's above the minimum it would be an instant sell aswell.
That could maybe work, but it's still kinda clunky for both seller and buyer I think.

Nah, that is a different topic than what I was proposing. I'd rather see the new system in use before making suggestions for that. Edit: I'm assuming this was about auctioning. As in set the price type as Negotiable, Exact or Starting price, with the starting price having a 30min timer from the first bid as an example.
