The real problem of XP LOSS.

Were you paid by GG to make that Vid? It looks sooo similar to all the skill showcase vids with only 1 PACK or 1 ENEMY.

How about you add a realistic 50 others on top with blue balls and 12 overlapping ground effects + some monkeys charge jumping you and stunning you.[/quote]

Lol, unsure how to respond to logical contradiction of XP services.

Now, talking about blue balls and overlapping ground effects. I can answer it for you. From the video, I can tell this guy is relatively geared. Probably has high evasion and possibly some max ele res. If he's going to run into 50 monsters, hes likely to die. But then, why would he, when he is likely to 1 shot white mobs. Kill or be killed. Why would you do otherwise?

Tell me, would you run into the jungle irl into a pack of 50 gorillas? Or proceed with caution? Does this make sense to you?

Do you still insist in playing your way? Compared to the video, how much ES do you have?
`Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL
`From just quick sweep of your characters, toxic rain, golems .. sure, non meta... sure.` LOL
`What are divs?`
We do option 2, so stop talking about option 1. option 1 is an ignorant approach.

Atm you reach 100 by engaging in a mindless grind with no bosses and no dangers.

You AVOID content or buy a carry. It is so in PoE1 and it is the same in PoE2. There's plenty of folk making exp leech parties.

The design of exp loss is SO SHIT that people would rather [Removed by Support] or by Divs in game to get boosts to lvl 100 instead of playing the game slowly and enjoying the UNINTERRUPTED path to 100.

Run white/blue Sandspit map over and over by leaving 1 rare up and porting out.

Great.Fing.Deisgn.Of.Exp.Loss.

Rofl. You know that "to run white/blue Sandpit map over and over" would take more than 1000 hours of mapping (not counting idle time) before reach 100, right? At least on my char (lvl 97), it would take 150h just to reach the next level (98) and things get a lot worse on the next levels. Even if you play that game 8h/day it would still take more than 4 months at this rate before reaching 100. Nobody is doing that, even on SSF.

Anyway, though I'm not sure what is the META strategy on trade leagues, I would just do Lvl 82 Twisted Domain rotation until 100, I guess

In 0.1, i have a friend who was lvl99 around 1 month in. Top30 player he was. He couldn't be bothered getting to 100. Said its insanely slow, xp loss is surely not the problem here.

Exactly. Twisted Domain = Ravine. Only with more mob density. Exactly the same thing. Safe , boring, braindead grind instead of natural mapping.
PoE1 has exactly the same solution to this.

XP loss IS *my* problem with the game. I can accept stun lock, I can accept slow XP gain. I cannot accept beating 10/20/30 maps and then lose all of that earned progress on the 31st map because of a poorly telegraphed one-hit-kill.

Crafting is extreme RNG & good/relevant end-game loot drops are extremely rare, but I can even accept that. XP progress is often the ONLY thing to show for the value of time spent in the game.

It is clear by your comment that the problem is how unfair deaths can be in this game, not xp-loss in itself. I doubt if we would have this number of complains about xp-loss if there wasn't such unfair situations randomly on maps.

I mean, I don't care how GGG handle death penalty on softcore, but it is clear that XP-loss isn't the root of the problem. Removing it would be at best just a band-aid fix.
