Why would you force hundreds of thousands of people to play as you like to play?
Only answer that comes is they think their way to play is UNQUESTIONABLY better.

asking to be treated as resposible adults and yet they refuse once and another.

Even they try to say "hey we listened, take this changes"
mmm okay, you removed rarity to a 1% and now you fake you have heard us by giving back up to a 10%.... COOL DUDE!

The penalty is a joke until lv85. I can get there in 30h eez. And thats the level you can do a T4 Arbiter with.
Thats why nobody sees a need to cut the xp penalty, I guess.

What makes this game absolut garbage for me. I dont play a game, especially an arpg, if the hardest content is done. Period. What is so hard to understand about this?
Getting a temporalis now and do a map in 1min instead of 3?
Of course you need to get a temporalis that got duped or cheated however into the game. It is impossible to target farm that thing (for a regular healthy person).

Thats your game? Well, have fun. I guess we wont see again.

No the more obvious reason is that you cant have players playing with different rule sets in the same league. And they wouldnt want to make more leagues to further splinter the community.

Secondly the even more obvious reason is that this suggestion comes from ignorance and wouldnt solve any problem at all.
You wouldnt ever sacrifice rarity just to remove exp penalty.
The only exception where this is "usable" is to turn it on to reach level 90 if your struggling.
The inherent problem with this is that if a 2.5% exp loss is stopping you from reaching level 90 and your refusing to try and improve your build then you have no business playing the game.

It wont solve any problem at all, its like this by design so your forced to improve your build or skill level. The only thing that will happen is that you will enable this, you will slowly grind you way to 90 while chain dying, never having to improve at the game or improve your build. You will then reach lvl 90 (or whatever) and then you will get completely destroyed by any content in the game because your still trash and your build is useless.
And then you will find something else to blame it on and were back at square one.

And using it after level 90 would be completely pointless because you will get tons more player power from more drops then you will from a few skill points.

The only realistic use case of this "solution" is for people to cheese their way to level 100. And for what purpose? If its no longer a challenge or has any achievement then there is no purpose, and why take that away from those that currently enjoy it?
I have the same reaction.

Yesterday I helped people out in campaign and gave 3 people multiple lvl 3 support gems each and the gratitude that was shown was unreal. I also gave a lvl 20 something warrior a very good jewel for warrior that a trader would probably have up on trade site for multiple divs on trade and the reaction was priceless.

Im also hc, and I know exactly what your saying.

Yeah, getting bigger numbers and go from 3 to oneshotting bosses is so much fun after lv85.
And the penalty makes me enjoy it even more?
Strechting boredom seems to work if you tie an economy around it.

Dont understand a word. And I would say thats because it doesnt make any sense.

If you want the penalty at these level of progress, well it doesnt hurt you there.

Before lv85 you can die several times a map and still make progress.

The whole endgame is a joke. Not funny, though.
The difference between xp loss and no xp loss is a difference between a dark swamp and a theme park. Theme parks are that way.
I lost all my xp today to 1 shot bs.
I've lost so much faith.
