The real problem of XP LOSS.
" but this game is more suitable for no-lifers than casuals. if you feel this game doesn't value your time, why play? `Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL
`From just quick sweep of your characters, toxic rain, golems .. sure, non meta... sure.` LOL `What are divs?` |

" If you feel like the game needs extreme punishment for you to find enjoyment, why isn't the option of hardcore mode sufficient for you? Dernière édition par SpankyKong#9805, le 7 mai 2025 à 13:33:25

" Thats not obvious at all. If they removed exp penalty then theres literally only two stats that would be important on my build: 1) Damage 2) Mobility And then you would just blast maps as fast as possible and if you die every now and then it doesnt matter. Because even if I lose 10-15 secs by having to get back to the map then thats nothing compared to the time I gained by stacking damage instead of defense. So then in reality dying wouldnt be bad, dying every now and then would be preferable to having to waste stats on defense. So you are incorrect. And this is the playstyle they want to avoid. In addition to avoiding the restriction it would put on build adversity. Ontop of robbing you of any sense of achievement in the game.
" but im not looking for extreme punishment. only what's reasonable. i make mistakes, and i lose xp. i fault myself for it, and not anything else. with hardcore i need to learn certain disciplines, builds, principles and i CHOOSE to not play it. Key difference: its my own fault if i die, and i will get careless here and there and i blame myself, while your sort would blame everything other than yourselves. `Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL

" Imagine cooking that dinner and having an option to sprinkle the salt instead of slapping a full kilo on every time you make a meal. Imagine that , having a SLIDER for EXP loss from 0 - 100%. An Option to not have a kilo of salt with every meal. I will put this here again since it was your own example Lima. |

" If you want to try and give constructive feedback the first thing you have to do is to not lie. 2.5% exp (or even 10% if your not using an omen) pre level 90 isnt equivalent to 5 maps, its not even equivalent to one map. So yes losing exp before 90 should be a joke. If it isnt then that is the game telling you that you are dying far too often. Which is just an objective fact since you would have to be dying once per map for this to stall you. More proof of the mechanic working as intended.
" Is your definition of reasonable such that one death can wipe out progress from dozens of prior maps? One split second mistake/glitch necessarily needs to set you back by many hours or days? Dernière édition par SpankyKong#9805, le 7 mai 2025 à 13:48:05

" Ok so why can't people choose to play without exp loss in the options with a checkmark/slider? Would how someone else wants to enjoy the game affect you? It's the same as how you choose not to play hardcore, people don't want to play with an exp penalty. Imagine if they deleted Trade and Softcore as league options, and forced everyone to play on hc ssf. That would be ridiculous and they would lose their entire player population overnight. This is what's happening with exp loss, just a slower pace of players quitting because of this 1 bad mechanic. All they would have to do is make it a toggle, that would fix this whole problem. |

" Dude can we be serious for 30 seconds at a time? I'm very confident that if you sat down and had a nice long think about it you will be able to puzzle out why it is that someone might find the threat of losing 10M XP to be an exciting and interesting incentive to play more carefully and defensively while the threat of losing 2.5B XP in addition to all of their items and currency might be less appealing. Like for serious dude how are you even capable of finishing this post and hitting submit like this is a rational question that doesn't have a completely obvious answer? "If you like the thrill of roller coasters so much why not just jump off a tall building?" "If you enjoy spicy foods so much, why not just chug a gallon of molten iron?" "If you enjoy a little naughty spanking once in awhile, why aren't you turned on by the thought of being mercilessly beaten unconscious by a wooden plank?" Like gee guy, I don't know. Maybe it has something to do with the thing that's absolutely obvious and you knew before you asked. " I would actually support that provided your character was then capped at L70. " Its fairly obvious. They have no valid argument or reasoning so they just distract, ask stupid questions, point the finger to anything else. |
