You already don't care about leveling. You are perfectly happy staying at level 90 forever. Why would you suddenly care about levels if you reach level 100?

It makes zero logical sense. At least the people arguing to have XP recovered or the penalty reduced/removed have legitimate reasons as to how it negatively impacts their time in the game, and they also do want those skill points no matter how much other people insist they shouldn't need them.

The people arguing for it are completely contradicting themselves: on one hand they claim it adds challenge and makes death meaningful, yet on the other hand they say reaching 100 in meaningless and not required for any content. Ok then, the death penalty is therefore pointless and doesn't add or remove from content according to them.

Exp stealing is not practiced in the tutorial. Stop practicing exp stealing in the maps.

In early access season 1, exp loss definitely influenced how I played the endgame and ultimately was a key influence to taking a break until season 2 started. But I also lost my apartment with 30 days notice beginning of April, had to plan a massive trip for myself and some friends among other life stuff on top of that.

Still in the midst of moving, completed (today) the massive trip (Yosemite and Zion within a week, including canceled flights, other delays and everything else you can think of going wrong) and I'm hardly starting endgame content. Just royally screwed up my first attempt at getting my 4th ascendancy lol.

Having fun with season 2 so far.

Yes the pain of everything was worth getting to Yosemite for the first time (and oddly enough for most of my life I have lived ~3 hours away lol) and Zion for the second time (to which folks in my group vetoed going to Angels Landing, which now requires getting drawn from a lottery which I managed to score for us).

Life's good, enjoy the ride.

Death does not remove the exp from your current map. It STEALS the exp from 25 maps that you did 3 days ago.
