This is the sort of thing that makes you realize the people over at GGG most likely do not play the game like the rest of us do and that the late game grind is probably an afterthought at this point.

It's very annoying and misleading. Players are already making workarounds and most common tools show tiers as they should be - reverted. If the only reason we have this system are Unidentified (Tier x) items just rename it to avoid confusion.

The early access is the last moment to fix it.

This would be a very sensible change, a lot of the time when people are talking about crafting they still just write T1 for the best possible affix, guessing they came from PoE1 and are used to it and it definitely makes more sense.

I've mentioned this many times on this forum and you basically did in the OP.

The best team is rank 1. There isn't one division where rank 7 is the best where another rank 11 is the best. That would be fucking confusing. Rank 1 is the best.

Making tiering different between maps and gear is not confusing in the slightest. When you are working to a goal you start at step 1 and progress. When you go to school you don't start at grade 13 and work towards grade 1. You start at grade 1.

The change is stupid and it needs to be fixed.

When you come 10th in a race you can celebrate being the winner yourself. The rest of the world understands the difference between progression and placement.
