PoE 2 has lost over 80% of its players in 3 months.
" Except there is Epic for PoE2 so,it’s not every player, and PoE2 also has all the console players. It’s a fairly (but not entirely) level playing field as a metric. Also, where do you get your half the players of PoE1 play on standalone? Just curious as I’ve never seen anyone mention it before. True and i also stopped playing , because i dont see the progress or even the possiblity to farm me Div for paying for stuff.
as a normal player its really hard to reach 200 Div just to pay a crap item which is in every build the best to put. Maybe its not hard for poe guys but for a casual player its no fun or reason to farm months just to get enoungh currency for one item. |

" 7 years playing PoE, and I’d say 200Div is out of my reach in PoE2 unless I luck out on a chance orb (ALL typos lack of caps, punctuation and general errors are copyright Timbo Industries - Laziness Division)

Personally, I was turned off by the lack of new things and pushing corrections and balance, especially balance, at such an early stage makes no sense because in a moment they will add new classes and weapons and you will have to fix and balance everything again. Instead, in my opinion, they should first add a little bit of everything and let the players have fun and test it, and not nerf everything they can, where there will be time for nerfs and balance later, and so they gave us the basic classes and 3 acts of the campaign and nothing new for three months. but in the in-game store there are new items for money, as for the druid and huntress classes, it has been ready for a long time, but GGG simply doesn't want to say anything about them, in my opinion, they don't give a damn about communication

Personally my biggest complaints are from long running bugs and the pretty well 0 communication from GGG. Idk why people are complaining about the post 70 XP loss. I'm hard stuck at 89 ATM but that's not because of that loss specifically. It's because of so many other very fixable bugs that they just haven't addressed. Randomly spawning in dead. Spawning in to a hallway with a sun priest already Lazer beaming you. Massive lag spikes and crashes, today I had an essence event where the monsters were fre and able to attack while being stuck in place and invincible. I'm still stuck with 0 evasion from the trials glitch back when I started playing and it sill hasn't been fixed. I agree with others though playablity should be the focus not balance atm

" Sorry to inform you but this is true. One should compare EA POE2 and POE1 start ONLY, because only these are comparable. And what do numbers show? POE1 start - 60% playerbase lost over 3 month. POE2 start - 90% playerbase lost. |
![]() |
" Don't make up numbers. PoE2 lost 79% until today, not 90%... PoE1: ![]() Players at Release: 35k Players after 3 month: 13k Result: 63% lost PoE2: ![]() Players at Release: 578k Players after 3 month: 122k Result: 79% lost Furthermore, PoE1 was a free to play game at that time, while PoE2 is not free to play right now. Secondly, PoE2 after 3 month has 4 times the amount of players compared to PoE1 at release. And third, PoE2 hasn't receive any big patch yet. Fact is, PoE2 has a much stronger start and a similiar decline and will receive an increase in players again, once GGG releases a huge update. So there's absolutely nothing to worry about, like this thread tries to imply. |

" Check this again on 6th of March .) " POE2 has much better graphics, better effect both visual and sound, better animations, better campaign and even has ENDGAME, unlike POE1 on start. And yet... |

what is on march 6?

Stopped playing because of the death penalty. Keep checking in periodically wether they have come to their senses. Have they? Seems doubtful at this point. Too bad.
