I am done, giving Last Epoch a try for a bit. This is a rant !

I held out on trying Last Epoch and waited for POE2. I am an average gamer with average skills. I play for about 3 to 4 hours a day. I didn't think it was possible to make a game more tedious than POE1 but GGG you have succeeded.

I should get to decide when i want to face difficult content and when i should want to relax. Getting constantly blown up in maps that i am 8 to 10 levels above shouldn't be possible. I shouldn't have to focus that hard.

The end game mapping system is a giant wall of shit. I am forced to do boring towers to have any chance of advancing. Shit is strewn everywhere with 0 search functions. I get one chance to see extra content in a map or kill a boss and i get the finger if i die on top of it by losing experience. I wouldn't care about the exp loss if i could at least finish the fucking map content.

The crafting system shouldn't even be called a crafting system. At least in POE1, even though tedious and having to watch 100+ hours of You Tube videos you could learn how to actually craft decent gear. This gambling shit show your calling a crafting system is hands down the worst thing i have ever seen in a game.

To those who say "OH WAIT" don't you know this is early access. That is in the end is what pushed me over the edge. The only interaction we have gotten other than the crap patch 2+ weeks ago(which did next to nothing) is GGG's current statement of we are sorry we fucked you over POE1 players.

Early release should contain more direct interaction with the player base. I tried really hard to grind and i will check back in a few months to see whats up. I am going to give Last Epoch a shot. I understand its not as robust as POE1, but anything is better than this current shit show.

Last Epoch has like 1000 people online, even weirdest fetishes on planet have more people involved than that.

Last Epoch is decent game, more thought through than PoE2 in some aspects. Go try it as PoE2 has literally nothing interesting to offer outside the campaign right now.

Shit, i missed the memo. Have a lvl 98 and lvl 97 550hrs. 500 outside campaign. And still having a blast dropping 15 plus div an hour.

Valid argument, we all define the fun we have by amount of internet pixels we get per hour! It's almost like a job, but pixels can't be exchanged for a meal or some groceries. But hey, good for you mate

Ouch, that was hard. I really like LE, but they are slow as shit and gambled a lot of good will away with their lackluster endgame.

I've stopped POE2 now after 500 hours, got everything clear (but that damn Simulacrum T4) and the endgame isnt that great yet anyway.

The things that annoy me the most:

- The map design is just terrible and even the worst maps from POE1 would be S++ tier in POE2. Too big, too much backtracking (most maps have two checkpoints or
so) and narrow corners
- maps objectives just kill all rares over and over again with close to no feedback
- loot is, apart from currency, basically non existant
- the game freezes my PC every few maps
- no optical feedback when you take damage apart from the health globe. I play a ES minion build and when I get killed I dont even realize that I took damage because I have to watch that small line on the globe all the time
- basically everything is designed to waste the players time in a tedious way. Be it the Ultimatum turning into a walking simulator or the maps which have the layout of a Favela in Rio

Don't get me wrong, I really like that game but right now it's content is really limited

Biggest issue is, that you have a hard time to play other ARPGs now because the WASD controls are just so good

I don't care about Last Epoch ever since lead developer was lying on Discord about servers(game wasn't playable and dev kept saying it was). It's almost like GGG saying Poe1 will be supported and then it's not :)

The vast majority of people don't have no job/no life to have 550 hours in at this point. Most people get enjoyment out of games for the content, not farming currency just to afford inflated gear on the market thanks to RMT and bots.

Last Epoch isn't perfect but it is fun, something GGG has forgotten about.
