Havent logged into POE2 in a week and a half and have no desire to do so. I logged into POE1 and played my ruthless char. But after the POE1 announcement I really am not into logging in. Playing Last Epoch and looking for another ARPG despite being a rabid supporter of GGG to the tune of a thousand dollars over the years. All things must end I guess. All of you drive by D4 people will be gone in 6 months and GGG will be scrambling wondering what happened.

this is the tencent situation:

if tencent was controlling poe for money there would be no poe2. poe1 was growing they would make every league require a new stash tab and push a p2w creep that would eventually see outright p2w in the game.

theyve had control for 7 years, none of that has happened. of course it never happened because why would you buy an indie dev with the least p2w game imaginable if you wanted the most player numbers and the most p2w?

the last thing they would do is let GGG take ruthless (a mode that 7 people played and 2 had something positive to say about) and make an entire game based on those principals with no proven audience while abandoning their growing proven cash cow.

when GGG sold control of the game in 2018 they became multimillionaires who never had to work again. so what did they do? decide to make poe2, put themselves through the massive strain of making a game that would risk every proven revenue method on the table and upset a massive amount of the player base solely on the idea that they personally thought it would be a better game.





people look at this and conclude tencent is running ggg for profit and all ggg themselves care about is making money, not the game?

this guy just trolls forims posting in all the negative threads. You can see his recent posts he made 30 odd posts in the last 24hrs alone.

There is about a dozen people who do the same, most of the negative threads are comprised of the same few account names.

Imagine spending all day every day doom-posting on a forum for a game you claim to hate and no longer play...
