3k fusings and no 6 link

3000+ isn't that rare. I link a lot of stuff and have had a few of those.
This league I've only done 3, first was 100 or so (After selling a bunch of 5 links, so probably 400ish total), second was 1 fusing (!!). When I poofed that 'lucky' one in the corruption chamber my current chest was over 2000.
So there can be a lot of variance!

Also spent about 3000 fusings on a 28% quality armour and it didn't get 6 linked.

The same thing happened to me years ago, on another account during Talisman, quit in disgust and stopped playing.

6 link bench craft is now found in a very rare Delve encounter, so I couldn't use it. I'm only at depth 130+.

The feeling of frustration was terrible last time, but now I'm more numb to it.

I suggest that at every 5 link, the next fusing gets an improved chance to 6 link, so that rolling over 5 links doesn't feel so horrible.
Anything to make it less RNG.

I know the most profitable thing to do is to fuse until 5 links, sell, buy another of the item and repeat until you 6 link, but I want to actually play instead of spending hours buying, selling and fusing.

RNG is RNG is such a vague declaration, you can use it to justify ANYTHING that happens (or does not happen).

Person A spends 6,000 fuses and gets 0 6-Links.


RNG is RNG.


Person B spends 500 fuses and gets 6 6-Links, 4 of them with <20 fuses.

RNG is RNG.


Can one of the Math Professors tell me what the Odds are for Person A vs person B in these two scenarios?

And the odds of this happening say 3 Leagues in a row?

The "Distribution" of the RNG seems very suspect.

You've "watched" that happen because you have a fucking skewed sample size. The things that make it onto reddit are feats of miraculous luck. Mathil's gotten just as many supercorrupted poofs as he's gotten double implicits--but he plays so much that he eventually supercorrupts a LOT of items. Same with streamers that fuse tons of things. They probably use 50000 fusing orbs over the course of a league, so is it really that shocking when one of those sessions with 500 orbs miraculously rolls three six links? No.

One league I got my first six-link in 48 fuses and my second in under 200 more. This league it took me over 9000 to manually six-link just one (though I finally completed that project, vaal'd the damn thing immediately afterwards and it bricked, so I vendored it).

The world's RNG isn't out to get you. You just don't play enough to experience the full range of RNG this game has to offer. That much is obvious from your 11 challenges and highest character level of 90.
