[3.5] A Storm of Ice and Fire - Truly Excessive CWDT

As u say beffore, this is a meme build but..I dont see why a meme build can't do all content, with troubles ofc, but can do all content changing a little bit the build idea, the core is the same, cast the maximum number of CWDT but don't ussing the Vaal Molten Shell, I use Herald of Agony but u can try other setups... VMS have tons of dmg but without charges vs Izaro u insta die. The Whispering Ice it's good but u can take more profit with dual wielding other weapons like Singularity.

If u don't like this idea it's ok, thats why I ask for help only to see if I the only one having problems with hight end game

Vaal Molten Shell is the core of this build. Its lack of cooldown with the 300 ignites per second is the entire dps source. If you're removing that, then 1) it's not a tweak, it really is a new build and 2) you have to replace it with an equally effective dps source. Herald of Agony is not giving you 22 million dps. If you're not using the ignites to trigger Vaal Molten Shell, then there's not even a point in having the Fire Storms anymore. You may as well gut everything out of the build entirely, get rid of all the uniques and all the spells, and build an entirely new CWDT build. None of this works without it.

The problem is the low life and no mitigation other than enfeeble. I don't think there's an easy way to fix it. You could dramatically lower the dps components in favor of survivability, but I suspect you crash the instance instead. The dps has so stay high for the game to tolerate the build.
Would like to know if anyone could go over the general playstyle. What to do during vaal downtime etc. Not using regular shell during prevention, why? Stuff like that...
Hey folks, if you're interested in a (maybe?) more survivable take on this idea check out my profile (TheBigJugg, lvl 93 juggernaut in Betrayal). 7300 HP and perma IC. Good regen and lgoh. Still great DPS, I use VMS just for bosses really.

Whrong! Yes Herald of Agony don't give 22M dps but taunts the hard bosses like Izaro, and u can keep ussing the firestorm setup because all of the hits with firestorm,Bladefall etz increase the dmg of the Herald (posion on hit) so u have perma 40 stacks of Virulence. I say that only because I do a lot of lab's with the original build and he insta kill me, with Herald I can destroy Izaro with 0 dmg taken so... no it's not a diferent build it's a variation with better settup and better option to end game bosses and the clear speed is the same. Don't be mad with me only for do a better job than u ;)

You saying it's wrong doesn't make it wrong. This is a build designed to do 1.22 Shapers per second in damage. That is the only reason any of us tried this build. If we just wanted an effective elementalist build, there are tons out there. The extreme dps was what made this different, and you have completely eliminated it. Even if Herald of Agony's poison doesn't have a cooldown, which I'm unsure if is the case or not, it's definitely not doing 75k damage per poison. Do you think anyone would use this build as a Herald of Agony build?

Edit: I forgot about the lag issue. This build intentionally doesn't use poison, because poison was what made the Forbidden Build crash instances. You've added that back in.

So he's saying that he uses Herald of Agony and can about face tank Uber Izaro ?
What gems did he replace to use that Herald ?
I look at his character and do not see it.

I repec'd to this build and I love it, except for the lag if trying to do hard maps and cannot kill fast enough. Even Delving what I can do on other toons causes me trouble. I went though leveling up the gems I needed and died a lot, but now they are level 19 and can do harder maps. However I only need Uber Lab to get the last points and the second room kills me every time :(

So I respec'd back to RicoKGB Classic Elementalist Mjolner build which does not have the lag issues and go do much harder maps. Still having troubles with Uber Lab and cannot complete it with this build.

So yeah, I would like to know more about using the Herald of Agony with this build, if it can do it I will respect back and try it out.

Maybe post a video of killing Izaro in the last room ?
Could someone check my build and suggest a to-do list?

Im dying way too fast against single targets like Izaro (no VMS) or some Syndicate bosses (one-shotting), nothing helps.
Flasks are obviously needed, but that cant be making such a huge difference. Do i need more armour?

Also monsters with "Life Regen" seem to be absolutely invulnerable to this build.

So i have all the gear, levels, jewels, and resistances set up correctly but for some reason my VMS seems to 1 not proc or 2 proc and not kill anything (bosses). Any suggestions because clearly im missing something.

Overall some people seem to be forgetting this is a meme build and that means HP/Survivability issues. However, i managed to kill two guardians last night solo (without VMS, that was a pain) so it can still clear content.

Anyways, if anyone can suggest a solution to my VMS issues id love the help. My profile should be open.

Obviously its a meme build, but there is something more than "a HP issue" if i have to call for help to complete a cruel lab. You wouldnt be able to get to shapers and elders and such while being constantly one-shot by everything, so i am doing something wrong here.
