it is no challenge for you nerds because 1) you have been playing this game for billions of years with a daily routine of 10 hours or something (at least that is what I assume when I read your whine posts)

and 2) because this is an action rpg, which by nature means you farm, you slaughter weak enemies, you farm more, you slaughter harder enemies, you farm more, you slaughter the toughest enemies, you farm more, you slaughter the toughest enemies faster than anybody else.

that's it. I dont know what kind of magic you ppl are expecting from ggg, but the truth is that for nerds of your calibre, you should really be looking out for competitive games and not for farm- and grindgames. I personally can suggest starcraft if you are interested or maybe some moba.

Yeah but... who cares? Nothing other people do in this game affects you in a negative way, POE is about making your own challenges.

And the key phrase there is in a negative way because your gameplay experience is actually positively impacted by other people effortlessly blowing up endgame content - it saturates the market with endgame drop-only unique items, significantly bringing the prices down.

Those that have been playing for a few years remember back when 99.9% of builds had absolutely zero chance of killing Uber Atziri. And I don't mean the players weren't good enough, I mean literally their builds could not possibly survive long enough to bring her down and many builds didn't even make it past Trio. Acuities and Disfavours were beyond insanely expensive (in the case of the Acuity, they were often well over 50 exalts), because there so few of them in circulation. Compare that to the present, where new players can buy a Disfavour for less currency than they find on the ground on their way to Act 10 and let it hard carry them well into red maps with no other gear upgrades. And that's on melee, which as everyone knows is unusable because GGG hates you personally.

That went on longer than I intended, but the TLDR is that you shouldn't care what anyone else does in this game, at all, ever, full stop. It's a sandbox ARPG, go make your own fun.

well, be honest please. you havent been playing this game for years? you havent invested thousands of hours into it? because everything you say and the way you act pretty clearly seems to indicate that you have invested much more time into this game than the average player.

am I right or not? and if I am right, then how in the world do you expect the game NOT to be trivial after so many hours invested? obviously most, if not all of the content will be a piece of cake for you, since you know exactly what to do and how to optimize your build, how to optimize your farming and so on.

I simply dont know how you people expect an arpg to deliver more than that without being a completely unplayable pile of garbage for 99% of the players who havent invested thousands of hours beforehand like you have.

please correct me if I am wrong and you are just an average gamer who plays like 1 or 2 hours a day max and who hasnt played basically every league. I am curious to hear about it.

sure, this game has very complicated mechanics and you can experiment and theorycraft a lot, be innovative and creative with niche builds and so on, but at the end of the day this game is about SLAYING AI MINIONS. get this into your thick skull. it's not more than that. I know it might be hard to accept, since you seem to be insanely emotionally invested into this game, but its just a hack and slay arpg, nothing more.

it is doing exceptionally well, because ggg keeps spitting out new stuff faster than we casuals can say fug.

again, I dont know what you are talking about. where exactly is this game competitive? is it pvp? nobody plays it. is it some races? I dont know exactly, I havent ever participated, but it seems those races are for the top 0.1% nerdiest of them all anyway. again, nothing of importance.

this game is about grinding items and making your character stronger and then pwning the fug out of monsters. ask 1000 ppl and the absolute majority will basically answer it like I did or deliver some sort of slight variation.

you are completely deluding yourself, if you cant even grasp this simple fact.

and in closing: think about the fact that 99% or more of the playerbase doesnt have a daily poe routine of like 8 hours. you are the absolute exceptions. you are the last people who should be held up as some kind of standard candle when it comes to the "playerbase".

This was the problem many players faced with Betrayal, too. Their builds were ridden with holes and the league feature for once punished those players for that. Says a lot when league content is the only thing in the entire game that players hit a brick wall with...

He's spending unnecessary time/currency upgrading gear which apparently makes no difference to gameplay.

Hiding your profile is relevant too. You're just trying to avoid a situation where someone is one-shot with more defenses than you have and shows it on video. By hiding your profile you can say any bullshit you want but most can see straight through it.
