List of Poe biggest flaws - add yours
Very good thread.
Also, the 100% RNG, it shouldn't be like that. I have a char level 90 another 93 and a new one now and haven't dropped an exalted orb yet. The drop rate probablity should increase for as long as something doesn't drop. And obviously trading is fucking terrible, everyone complains about it and they seem to do nothing about it, they simply made another poe.trade in their website to fix... wtf really, this already existed, why waste your time to do the same thing IGN gubert Dernière édition par Gubert#1144, le 28 mars 2018 à 10:30:06

" I'm playing Poe since 2011, I usually don't complain a lot (last time was Labirynth issue, which is in my opinion still annoying). Let's make this post big, GGG has to see that there is still a lot to do, and we need those changes a lot. Quality over quantity. |

1) Less particle effects and change contrast of friendly spells vs monster spells... not game breaking code here . In all RPGs I've played it's pretty clear to embody a different color scheme or contrast especially when unq mobs or rogue exiles can cast the same spells as you!
2) No incentive for party play (lag, less, drops, screen spell spam) 3) Death penalty... I basically retire at lvl 90 4) Need in-game trading, I want to play POE after work, not Poe.trade copy paste 5) Uber lab, yeah it's a pain and DCs do happen.... maybe double the number of ascendancy pts! |

In retrospect I actually regret posting in this thread. The subsequent pages of posts started to steer into the ridiculous. It ended up being all of the worst complaint threads all rolled up into one.
The true pinnacle was someone talking about how melee characters had it so much easier than summoners. I almost spit my coffee onto my computer. So, in this vein, here are the top 5 things that are never going to change in PoE (some maybe when the game dies/is about to die), imho: (1) Exp penalty - yeah, exp penalties are harsh, but where is the danger if there isn't a penalty when you YOLO something? I don't want a game I can just corpse camp a boss until he is dead with no penalty. I hate the carebear attitudes some people espouse, but stop being so soft. Note I do not have a character above 92 because I don't care about dying later in the game. (2) RNG. I agree the Atlas completion has become difficult (and something needs to improve with map drop rates/availability/something), and the Elder T15 quest is stupid and needs to be fixed, but on every other RNG argument, forget it. The point of an ARPG is the sudden, unexpected great drop. Can't have shit raining from the sky all the time. (3) SSF Drop rate rebalance - just stop it. It has been indicated it will not be implemented, time and again. If you are looking for an SSF experience with increased drop rates there are other games for you! (4) Trade improvements - again, stop it. How many times does GGG have to tell you they aren't going to upgrade it? It is the worst abused spouse syndrome - if it is a deal killer, you have to move on. (5) Lab - I don't love it. I don't even like it. But there it is. And I do it. And move on. It is a part of the game, and will never be removed. Get over it and move on. Dernière édition par Slaanesh69#4492, le 28 mars 2018 à 11:25:51

Alot of the things are catered about the 1% that plays alot, or allready know what will change before the change actualy happens, those people have extreme advantage in everything because this game is there work.. Alot of changes would not be supported by those people because they are afraid it hurts them, but same rule will always count, those that play alot will always have more advantage over that those that don't.. And that is ok..
We cannot compare 4-5 hour or less that type off gameplay with that of professional gamers, students, people that are in between jobs, professional in between jobbers, people that have any kind of other reason witch gives them more playtime, to never had a job people and i don't want to type of people, and any other reasons i missed. 1) Crafting, there is no crafting in this came, just RNG and having currency because lucky RNG or a paid grp that delivers you currency, or play alot with a grp. I rather would grind currency (if drops would get better) to put a certain stat on an item and then let it be RNG what vallue that stat get's) 2) xp in higher lvl is anoying, penalty could be reduced a bit, for casual play it's to much, but it should not be easier to gain more xp. 3) Map and currency drops definately could be increased to a lvl where returns would be consistant/ 4) Trading just sucks, can i buy --- no responce, can i buy --- no responce, can i buy --- no responce, can i buy --- no responce, can i buy --- no responce, can i buy --- no responce, can i buy --- sold.. 5) Masters.. just boring, especialy if you only play leagues and on't like rotations. But on the other side, besides Zana you just don't realy need them. Dernière édition par Shadeless01#5109, le 29 mars 2018 à 05:26:27

Can add to this.
Starting with performance. I played poe last years before in potato lappy based on core duo and reeeeeeeeeally outdated gpu. Was kinda ok. At least had fun and so on. That was pre 3.0 versions. Then had a break. Now with i7 sys and better gpu it runs like shit, tons of disconnects and literally game supposed to be fun turning into lagfest and slideshow. I really dunno whats happened. It feels like the game doing full time mining cryptocurrency and spend like only 2% of my computer resources to actually making looks like this is the game. Really feels like it very very busy with somthing else. Too bad I`m not in this to trace whats actually happening. Second. Yday I jumped in and with struggling reached lvl39.. but thats it. Leaguestarter. Found 5c overall lol. How Im suppose to buy stuff to progress with all this drop I really doubt. That with intention to run 7x golems. I remember I done that before - and aquiring all golem jews was doable for leaguestarter in pre 3.0 league (I forgot what it was.. with stones). This league not providing anything precious so far. No content. Literally nothing. Its just fun zoo to see. Thats it. Zero contribution to game progress. So.. Now it all feels like I`ll go out again after this try even before even reaching lvl50 and never even see any map with it. Also unopgradable l22 bones of ullr killing my soul out ;) Dernière édition par DarkJen#6961, le 29 mars 2018 à 13:28:50

Server Side Filtering
I really really wish you could have the option to Filter out events from the Server including: Chat Channels Why do I have to suffer performance penalties from all the RMT clowns and Toucan clowns and the god-awful cesspool of Trade chat? Clicking the button to turn off the channel only hides the messages, it's still merrily downloading and clogging up bandwidth. Letting Users Filter out the events from even being sent will save you money GGG in bandwidth costs. It would also give you statistics about what percentage of Users even want things like the trade chat channel. I'm betting 99% of your user base would turn it off. Particles/Other Player effects I know this is your lifeblood revenue stream. but give some checkboxes and sliders to limit some of the battle spam from other players. Playing in a group is awful because all you see is a giant pulsing glowing ball and it's just not fun. I know it is not very technically hard to do this as I have seen YouTube video's of people running Mods that disable/limit effects, it's not hard to Google for this so the technical issues have already been overcome by crafter hackers. |

Currency items are crafting items:
- Seemed like a nice idea at first, but in a trading game the value of a usable curency item is (always) the value of the best use for that item. This means that most of the time you are better of just trading for what you want instead of crafting for it. The main campaign is too easy: - It is okay for the first few acts to be relatively easy so that newer players can get hold of the ropes, but it needs to be harder overall. Force people to gear up and think about leveling builds more. OP-leveling uniques are also a very bad design. The exp-penalty: - While there needs to be some penalty for dying, the current system, and relatively poor boss drops, promotes boring gameplay. We should be encouraged to take risks. Not sure what a suitable penalty could be though. Ghosts, masters and propehcies: - Need rework and I guess GGG knows this already. Too much RNG-gating of content: - There are a bunch of really interesting a challenging encounters/fights in PoE, but you very rarely get to try them out. It should not take a hundred hours the get to fight the council for a few minutes or a league to try uber Atziri once. Wasted opportunities. |
