Btw Frankenberry you're on of the few I can take serious with this 'game 2 ez' stuff. Lvl100 in a temp league not using poison conversion or other meta stuff. Like, guy might be on to something.

Instead I will make a list of all the things that disqualify people from talking about power creep, as officially decided by the forums:

1) Dying, ever
2) Playing Softcore
3) Not having a level 100 character
4) Having a level 100 character
5) Not clearing core-malachai with 3x damage mods on hc league without deadhand talisman or an OP builds
6) Playing OP builds
7) Not playing OP builds

Power creep is what the players want. If GGG actually reduced the HUGE variance of affix numbers in gear and weapons, massively toned down the double dip opportunity and crazy dps possibility that crit offers ranged characters, you'd all cry and leave


And I am sceptical how someone with a private profile / 9 challenges can comment on the game difficulty.
See? It goes both ways.

Game difficulty varies in how much are you willing to gimp yourself:
* Melee or range
* Self found or trading
* Proper layers of defense vs no defense
* Vaal Pact or no Vaal Pact

My death count on a melee slayer in perandus is 32 at level 94, meanwhile my ranged champion is still alive and well on level 85 in 2W PHC because you can kite enemies 24/7 (and no it's not a meta build).

I think that's pretty much a semantic argument then, the power creep causes the game to be too easy, that's the argument I've seen at least.


Easy in what context?

Why is it that the people who complain that the game is too easy continue to suffer character deaths?
